The early morning riser from the straw market on Bay Street to the beach soccer complex at the foot of the Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge saw competitors compete in the various age groups from under-9 to open. American high hurdler Jason Richardson, Great Britain’s quarter-miler Matthew Hudson-Smith and Jamaican Natoya Gould joined Bahamian 400m hurdles national record holder Jeffery Gibson in supporting Miller-Uibo in the event that was designed to give back to the Bahamas Coaches Association. “This displays love and unity,” said association president Shaun Miller, the father of Miller-Uibo. “We are going through the mix of an election right now where we have our own sides to choose from. But there is still strong brotherly love displayed out here, even though we are at war ends with each other. This is what united is all about. We go deep.” Miller was referring to the fact that despite the factions heading into the BAAA elections on November 24, the campaign was pushed aside as they all came together to ensure that the second Shaunae Miller-Uibo Bay Street mile was a tremendous success. There was one major hiccup and that came at the end where race organiser David Ferguson tried to use a computerised system to determine the various winners. But as there were some flaws with competitors not competing crossing the line, they had

VOTING FOR IAAF FEMALE ATHLETE OF YEAR CLOSES TODAY ALREADY named the North American and Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Female Athlete of the Year, Shaunae Miller-Uibo said it would be a “feather in her cap” if she is selected as the International Amateur Athletic Federation’s Female Athlete of the Year. The IAAF is expected to narrow down a list of 10 athletes to the final five when the voting process closes today. The IAAF Council and the IAAF Family cast their votes by email, while fans voted online via the IAAF’s social media platforms. The IAAF Council’s vote will count for 50 per cent of the result, while the IAAF Family’s votes and the public votes will each count for 25 per cent of the final result. The Male and Female World Athletes of the Year will be announced live on stage at the IAAF Athletics Awards 2018 in Monaco on Tuesday, December 4. “It was a real feeling, to be able to win such an award,” said Miller-Uibo of being the recipient of the NACAC award for women on November 6, alongside Jamaican discus thrower Fedrick Dacres. “It was a great achievement for myself as I look towards next year and see how things because overall, it’s

Charles Bain posted a careerhigh while Lashann Higgs and Travis Munnings exhibited the senior leadership their respective programmes expect them to sustain over the course of the season. Bain scored 25 points as his Robert Morris Colonials concluded a two-game road trip to open its 2018-19 campaign with a 74-60 loss to Missouri State at JQH Arena as part of the 2018 National College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. The sophomore forward shot 8-18 from the field, was 3-8 from three and added five rebounds and two blocked shots in 31 minutes. He scored 14 of the Colonials’ 29 points in the first half as they trailed by just four.

“We got a sense early that Bain would have some favourable matchups, and I thought he came out with really good focus,” Colonials head coach Andrew Toole said. “He was basically our offence in the first half. He made a lot of really nice plays and made some really good decisions. The energy was there with Charles. We just need that consistency from more guys.” As a freshman last season, Bain averaged 5.3 points and 2.9 rebounds in just over 17 minutes per game. Higgs opened the season with the fifth 20-point game of her Longhorns career as the No. 11/8 Texas women’s basketball team defeated Duquesne 78-41 in their season opener at the Frank Erwin Center.

She finished with 20 points on 9-16 shooting in just 23 minutes. It was a career high 16 field goal attempts and she also added five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Higgs got off to a quick start, scoring the first five points of the game for the Longhorns, as Texas jumped out to a 24-7 lead by the end of the first quarter. Texas entered the locker room at halftime with a 25-point lead (37-12) and cruised to the win. Travis Munnings finished with a game high 23 points and nine rebounds en route to leading the University of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks to a 94-52 win over Millsaps College at Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

THE New Providence Basketball Association continued its regular season action with a triple header at the AF Adderley Gymnasium on Saturday night as the Commonwealth Bank Giants, Aliv Buckets and PJ Stingers all emerged victorious. The Giants held off the Discount Distributors Rockets 94-90, the Buckets dumped the Breezes High Flyers 97-93 and the Stingers stung the Fort Charlotte Defenders 125-74. • Here’s a summary of the games played: Giants 94, Rockets 90 D’Shon Taylor went to the free throw line twice in the last 15 seconds and converted three of his four charity shots to propel Commonwealth Bank to victory. That forced the results to be recalled during the presentation by Miller-Uibo, Richardson, Hudson-Smith, Gould and Gibson. A large group of competitors stayed around to either collect their trophies - for the first three finishers - or medals for the fourth to sixth places. Trophies were also distributed to the fastest competitor, male or female, in each age group. Miller-Uibo said she was delighted to put on the event for the second time and she was even more

thrilled to see that the numbers swelled from the initial year. She was accompanied by her husband, Maicel, who assisted the race organisers in ensuring that the event was a success. “This mile was for the coaches to say a little thank you to them because they don’t get as much recognition as they should,” she said. “So this was our way to say thank you to them. All of the proceeds go to them. We had a lot of sponsors that came on board to make this one special and so we want to say thank you to them too.” Miller-Uibo thanked BWA and Thompson Trading for providing products, as well as BAMSA and Bahamasair for the tickets for the athletes to travel to support and participat in the race with the youngsters. Richardson, a training partner of Miller-Uibo,

said it was an amazing experience supporting the charitable event. “Shaunae is on top of the game in track and field and on top of the Bahamian game, so it shows a lot of character in that she wants to reach out and get the next crop of athletes in this sport and hopefully on a successful path,” said Richardson in his first trip to the Bahamas. “The different age groups made it interesting. The spirit of competitiveness was there in the event, but it was a great feeling to see them all participating. It was just a mile, but it was enough to give the older athletes a challenge and the younger ones the opportunity to get a taste of running.” Richardson, 32, said he plans on making 2019 his final year competing, having won the gold at the 2011 IAAF World

Championships in Daegu, South Korea and the silver at the Olympic Games in 2012 in London, England. “This is the final chapter in my career, so I want to go out on top,” he said. “I’ve had some major injuries, so I just want to get healthy and let it all hang, keep God first and see where the chips lie. You can’t run forever. All good things come to an end. I know this is just a portion of the bigger picture for my life so I want to move on to other things ahead of me.” For Hudson-Smith, this is his first trip here as well, but when Miller-Uibo approached him in training to join her, he didn’t hesitate to say yes. “It was a good turnout and I’m happy to have been a part of it,” he pointed out. “A lot of these kids are quicker than I expected. They gave me a challenge. So I hope to one day see a

lot more Bahamians come up through the ranks and become just like Shaunae and others who are competing.” Gould, a frequent visitor to the Bahamas, said this time was different because she got to interact with a lot of the athletes. “So I am just glad to be here again and to be here for Shaunae,” said Gould, who commended the athletes on their performances. “She’s my friend for a while and when she asked me to come, I decided to come. It’s been wonderful and I really, really like it. This is my event. So it’s been good.” Gould, a 27-yearold 5-foot, 4-inch competitor, said she just wants to continue the trend she established this year by going to the IAAF World Championships and hopefully win her first major international medal.

And back for his second appearance, the last time he was home, Gibson said it’s always a treat to perform for the Bahamian people. “This was a little more fun because I didn’t have to compete. I just went out there and ran with the little ones to encourage them along the route,” Gibson said. “This is shaping up to be a very exciting event that is held every year and so I’m happy to be able to assist Shaunae again. When she asked me if I was coming, I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to come back home too.” Gibson, the 28-year-old silver medallist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, Australia in April, said the event also gave him an opportunity to see his family and friends before he returns to Clermont, Florida to get ready for the hectic season ahead of him in 2019.

Ayton posts double double in loss to Pelicans NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Deandre Ayton scored 20 points and led the Phoenix Suns with 12 rebounds on Saturday night. But they were defeated by the New Orleans Pelicans 119-99. It was the eighth double-double for the rookie No. 1 draft choice. He shot 9-12 from field goal range, 2-2 from the free throw line and also dished out an assist and had a steal in 30 minutes on the floor. The Pelicans put together the winning streak they needed. After losing six straight while All-Star forward Anthony Davis struggled with a strained elbow, the Pelicans won their second straight. Davis led the way with 26 points and 12 rebounds. “It was real big for us,” Davis said of the follow-up to a 107-98 home victory against Chicago three nights earlier. “You know you can’t get too far down in the

West or it’s going to be trouble trying to get back up in the standings, so, for us to come back home and take care of home court, it was big time for us. It gives us a little confidence.” Davis led four Pelicans in double figures, and New Orleans never trailed. Julius Randle also had a double-double, finishing with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Jrue Holiday scored 19 points and E’Twaun Moore had 17. T.J. Warren led the Suns with 25 points and Devin Booker scored 12 points. It was the first time in 10 games that New Orleans had a victory by a margin of 10 or more points. The Pelicans dominated on the boards, outrebounding the Suns, 53-37. The Pelicans scored the first seven points of the game and maintained a comfortable margin, but couldn’t put away the Suns

until midway through the fourth quarter. “We had leads that we should have extended and tried to close out the game but we could never quite get there,” New Orleans coach Alvin Gentry said. “The one thing about (the Suns) is they have a bunch of young guys who play hard, but they haven’t figured it out yet. They have some great talent and I think they have a great future down there.” New Orleans led by as many as 24 points in the fourth quarter. “We know that’s a good team with a couple of All-Star calibre players,” Suns coach Igor Koskokov said of the Pelicans. “So we can’t just be lackadaisical and start the game without no energy. We were playing behind. We had a little spark in the third quarter, but that’s not good enough to beat a good team on the road.”

It was New Orleans’ seventh consecutive victory against Phoenix. Booker came into the game averaging a team-high 26.5 points, but was just 4 of 12 from the floor. “Every pick-and-roll was trapped,” Booker said. “So good game plan by Alvin Gentry. (Holiday) is a good defender. It makes it hard on me.” TIP-INS Suns: Phoenix has won just one game since defeating Dallas 121100 in the season opener October 17. . F T.J. Warren, who has come off the bench for most of the season, started for the second consecutive game. He started against Boston on Thursday and scored a season-high 29 points in a 116-109 overtime loss. Devin Booker beat the third-quarter buzzer with a 3-pointer from beyond midcourt. Pelicans: F Nikola Mirotic and G Elfrid Payton both missed the

game because of sprained right ankles. Mirotic missed his first game and Payton missed his seventh straight. ... New Orleans scored 33 points in the first quarter, the seventh time in 12 games this season that it has scored at least 30 points in the opening quarter. RANDLE’S ROLE F Julius Randle is usually the leader of the Pelicans bench, but he has been thrust into the starting lineup several times. He started three times in place of injured Anthony Davis during a recent five-game road trip. He returned to the bench after Davis returned two games ago, but he was back in the starting lineup Saturday in place of injured Nikola Mirotic. Randle had 22 points and 16 rebounds. He has shot 64.9 per cent from the floor the last three games.

BUDDY AND KINGS COME ON STRONG LATE TO BEAT TIMBERWOLVES 121-110 SACRAMENTO, California (AP) — Kings coach Dave Joerger didn’t like most of what he saw from his team in the first half against Minnesota. The second half was an entirely different story and had Joerger beaming afterward, even though Sacramento nearly blew a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter. Willie Cauley-Stein had 25 points, Nemanja Bjelica scored eight in a row during a big run late in the third and the Kings beat the slumping Timberwolves 121-110 on Friday night to spoil a huge game for KarlAnthony Towns. Buddy Hield posted a double double - 15 points and 10 rebounds - with three assists in 33 minutes on the court. “I didn’t think we played very well in the first half and still had a two-point lead,” Joerger said. “We’re growing. This is a very good win for us. I think you saw maybe we wore them down a little bit in the second half.” Coming off back-to-back losses to East powers Milwaukee and Toronto, the Kings led by 15 early in the fourth but had to hold off a late surge by Minnesota to end a three-game losing streak to the Timberwolves.

Sacramento’s high-tempo offence was pivotal on both ends, as Minnesota eventually got tired in the second half. “We just keep running,” De’Aaron Fox said. “Even if they score, we’re not worried about that. We’re getting the ball up and down the court.” Fox had 16 points and 10 assists for Sacramento. Iman Shumpert scored 17 and Bjelica finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. Towns had a season-high 39 points and 19 rebounds on a night when Minnesota’s inconsistent offense sputtered. “To win you have to play with a certain intensity level and we’re not playing well right now,” coach Tom Thibodeau said. “It’s not any one particular person. It’s not any one particular thing. It’s all things. Hustle can make up for a lot and so that’s what we have to get back to.” The Timberwolves trailed by 14 midway through the fourth before Derrick Rose made consecutive 3-pointers to start a 12-0 run. Minnesota had a chance to tie the game but Jimmy Butler missed two free throws with 3:19 left. Sacramento took advantage of a pair of turnovers and scored the next seven points to pull away.

Towns made his first five shots and was 7 of 9 in the first quarter as Minnesota jumped out to a 12-point lead. He cooled off a bit in the second but made two 3s and had 29 points and eight rebounds by halftime. DELAYS, DELAYS The first half ended on a strange note when the Kings were called for two fouls with 0.6 seconds left, both coming as Minnesota tried to inbound the ball. The Timberwolves made one of the two ensuing free throws and eventually got the ball in, but Taj Gibson missed a 15-footer at the buzzer.

It’s on us to lock in mentally and focus.” Rose had 21 points, five assists and six rebounds. Butler was a game-time decision but played 41

minutes and had 13 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. The Timberwolves are 0-8 on the road. “We just didn’t play transitional defence,” Towns said. “That’s what we need to do. That’s why we get hit with another ‘L’ on this trip

VOTING FOR IAAF FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR CLOSES TODAY FROM PAGE 1 been a great season and I’m glad I’m getting some recognition for it.” Miller-Uibo, 24, tasted nothing but success in 2018, winning all of her competitions across a range of events. The Bahamian sprinter raced just three times at her specialist distance, the 400m, and produced a world-leading national record of 48.97 to win at the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Monaco. The 200m was her main focus of the year, however, and after winning the Commonwealth title in April, she was victorious in Shanghai, Kingston, Rabat and Birmingham before winning the IAAF Diamond League Final in Brussels and the IAAF Continental Cup Ostrava 2018. As one of the top female performers this year, Miller-Uibo said she’s just keeping her fingers crossed that she will be one of the five finalists when the voting closes today. “It will be exciting to see how it turns out,” said Miller-Uibo during a break from her second Bay Street Mile held on Saturday. “It would be a great feeling, but I’m going up against some amazing athletes. So however it turns out, I’m still going to be happy with the nomination.” But some of the people in her corner are pulling for her to win it all. As a training partner, Great Britain’s quarter-miler Matthew Hudson-Smith said he was surprised at her performance this year. “You can see her put in the work and how hard she does it,” he stated. “So it’s not a surprise that she’s on top . I’ve seen her work out and so I expect everything that I’m seeing now and what is to come from her in the future.” And Natoya Gould, a 800m specialist from Jamaica, said she’s hoping that Miller-Uibo can pull it off. “I’m rooting for her because she’s very talented and she deserves it,” Gould said. “I’ve known her since we were juniors

and I’ve seen that she can do very well and she has continued that trend as a senior, so I’m really proud of her. Being undefeated this year, a lot of people can’t do that, so I’m really rooting for her to win it.” After winning the Commonwealth 200m title in April, she won three races at her specialist distance of 400m – including a world-leading national record of 48.97 in Monaco – and then turned her focus back to the shorter sprint. She won at the IAAF Diamond League final in Brussels and at the IAAF Continental Cup Ostrava 2018, capping a superb year which started back in February by equalling the world indoor best for 300m. “It was a really great season. I just give God all the thanks and praise for it,” she stated. “We worked really hard this year and I’m going to work a lot harder for next season. But everything came into place and I just wanted to have a lot of fun this year. “I managed to stay undefeated and break the 400m national record, which was a great accomplishment for myself. I just want to keep the ball rolling and see what happens for next season.” Part of the plan is to try and duplicate the perfect season next year, but Miller-Uibo admits that it’s not going to be as easy as this year. “I know a lot of people are going to be gunning for me next year so we’re going to be ready for it,” she said. “We’re going to be in a lot more hard work and see where it goes. But I’m always looking forward to some great competition from all of the competitors.” While 2018 was called a “fun year,” 2019 is expected to be all business. “Next year is back to business. This was an off year, but these three years ahead are going to be busy with Worlds (2018), Olympics (2020) and Worlds (2021) again,” she pointed out. “There’s no stopping, but we’re going to be taking it seriously

Next year’s World Championships, we’re hoping for the best.” That means Miller-Uibo intends to put her best foot forward and only compete in one event, although that has not been decided by her management team and coaching staff. “I won’t be trying the double,” said Miller-Uibo, who many feel could become the first female to win the 200/400 combo in the same Worlds. “The schedule won’t allow it.” The IAAF recently released the schedule for the World Championships in Doha, Qatar from September 27 to October 6. With the introduction of the Mixed Gender 4 x 400m relay, two men and two women will get to represent their country in the heats on September 28 with the final on September 29. The heats for the 4 x 400m is still set for October 5 with the final

on the final day of competition on October 6. In between, the women’s 200m heats, semi-finals and final will be contested on September 30 and October 1 and 2 respectively. The women’s 400m heats is also on September 30 with the semi-finals on October 1 and the final on October 3. “That’s the tough part about the schedule,” Miller-Uibo pointed out. “They have the mixed 4x4 relay at the start of the meet and so that’s going to be tough on the runners. So we will have to look at it and see which event is best for us to contest at the championships.” With her training expected to start today, Miller-Uibo said her main goal this year is stay consistent with her times, having cracked the 48-second barrier in the 400. There are no plans to run any indoor meet next year, so MillerUibo said she intends to be fit and ready for whatever event that is decided for her to compete in.

He has to get some on his own and once he did, that was a big part of us playing good offence.” Munnings was 7-11 from the field. “We just had to slow down a little bit and share the basketball,” Munnings said. “Once we started making the right decisions, our offence picked up and that’s something we need to do in every game.” Calvin Anderson also got his first score of the season with three points and two rebounds in six minutes. The Warhawks lead the all-time series 5-1, including a 4-0 record in games played in Monroe. Senior guard Jaron Cornish stuffed the stat sheet for the Stony Brook Seawolves in their 83-81 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks at the Colonial Life Arena. Cornish nearly finished with a double double. He posted eight points, eight rebounds and five assists. He scored six of his eight points during a 2:30 stretch in the second half to extend the Stony Brook lead to 66-57 with 7:29 left in the second half. In the SEC, coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin suffered her first loss at Ole Miss when the Rebels fell 66-58 to IUPUI at The Pavilion. “I knew this was going to be a challenging game for us. To play a team like IUPUI that has just come off a postseason run and brought all of their players back, you can tell that they’ve been playing for a long time,” said McPhee-McCuin. “Right now, we’re learning how to win, and we’re learning how to win through adversity. In order to win, you can’t just want to win in your heart. You have to be willing to do what it takes, and IUPUI did what it took to win on the road.”

Titans sack Brady, upset Patriots 34-10 NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tom Brady added another big chunk of NFL history to his résumé. The Tennessee Titans made sure the Patriots quarterback didn’t finish his 300th game. The Titans sacked Brady three times and hit him repeatedly as they beat New England 34-10 Sunday, snapping a seven-game skid against the Patriots in Mike Vrabel’s first game as head coach against the team he helped win three Super Bowls. It was the most sacks allowed in a game this season by the Patriots (7-3), and coach Bill Belichick pulled Brady for Brian Hoyer midway through the fourth quarter. Only Brett Favre (326) has played in more games, both regular season and postseason, as a quarterback than Brady. The three-time NFL MVP also needed only three touchdown passes to tie Peyton Manning (579) for the NFL record for most TD passes all time for both the regular season and postseason. He left having thrown for 254 yards and no TD passes. Marcus Mariota capped each of the first two drives with TD passes, and Derrick Henry ran for a pair of TDs. Ryan Succop also added two field goals as the Titans (5-4) scored a season high in points after jumping to a 17-3 lead in the first quarter. SAINTS 51, BENGALS 14 CINCINNATI (AP) — Drew Brees threw three touchdown passes in the first half, moving ahead of Brett Favre for second place on the career list, and the Saints rolled to their eighth straight victory. Brees led the Saints to touchdowns on all five first-half possessions with a nearly perfect performance — only two incompletions. The Browns (3-6-1) played their most complete game this season under interim coach Gregg Williams, their defensive coordinator who improved to 1-1 since replacing the fired Hue Jackson. Mayfield outplayed Falcons star quarterback Matt Ryan with a performance that further justifies Cleveland’s decision to take the QB with the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft. Mayfield completed his first 13 passes and finished 17 of 20 for 216 yards. He threw a 28-yard scoring pass to Rashard Higgins, a 13-yarder to Chubb, and 11-yarder to Duke Johnson. Ryan and the Falcons (4-5) had their three-game winning streak — and any playoff momentum — stopped cold. And while Mayfield did damage, Chubb’s record run was the backbreaker. With the Browns backed up at their 8, Chubb, who had 176 yards on 20 carries, took a handoff and headed right. He cut toward Atlanta’s sideline, picked up a block and then showed his surprising breakaway speed while finishing the longest run in team history. Chubb’s run broke the previous team mark held by Bobby Mitchell, who had a 90-yard TD run against Washington on November 15, 1959. BEARS 34, LIONS 22 CHICAGO (AP) — Mitchell Trubisky threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns, and the NFC North-leading Bears snapped a 10-game losing streak against division opponents. The Bears (6-3) had dropped nine of 10 against Detroit (3-6) and were seeking their first victory over a division opponent since October 31, 2016, against Minnesota. Chicago jumped to a 26-7 halftime lead with Trubisky and Allen Robinson leading the way. And the Bears surpassed their win total

from last year with their third straight victory. Trubisky completed 23 of 30 passes against a shorthanded secondary, with standout cornerback Darius Slay sidelined by a knee injury. Allen Robinson caught six passes for 133 yards and two TDs after missing two games with a groin injury. Rookie Anthony Miller added a career-high 122 yards on five receptions, including a 45-yard TD and a 55-yard catch. turnover. Indy (4-5) has won three straight. Tight end Eric Ebron had a career-high three touchdowns, including one on a 2-yard run, all in the first half. (AP) — Matt Barkley stunningly sparked Buffalo’s bumbling offence with two touchdown passes, including one to offensive tackle Dion Dawkins. LeSean McCoy broke out of a season-long slump with 113 yards rushing and a pair of TD runs. Barkley made his first start in nearly two years, and looked the best of any of the four quarterbacks the Bills (3-7) have trotted out this season. The 28-year-old journeyman was 15 of 25 for 232 yards while helping Buffalo snap a four-game losing streak as the Bills put up 451 yards of total offence. Barkley got the nod from coach Sean McDermott ahead of the ineffective Nathan Peterman despite having just two weeks of practice with the Bills since signing on October 30. Rookie Josh Allen has missed four straight games with a sprained right elbow, and Derek Anderson is sidelined with a concussion. Barkley’s last start came in the 2016 season finale for Chicago. Meanwhile, the hot seat under coach Todd Bowles has reached a boiling point as the Jets (3-7) got completely manhandled by a team that entered with a league-low 96 points and had two touchdowns in its previous four games. The Jets have a byeweek break and the future of Bowles, in his fourth season, is in serious doubt. India wins on last ball to sweep T20 series vs West Indies CHENNAI, India (AP) — India got the benefit of a misfield on the last ball to scrape to a six-wicket victory over the West Indies in the third Twenty20 international and 3-0 sweep of the series. Nicholas Pooran’s whirlwind 53 not out off 25 balls helped West Indies reach 181-3 after opting to bat. In reply, Shikhar Dhawan (92 off 62) and Rishabh Pant (58 off 38) led India to 182-4 off all 20 overs but some late drama added a twist to the finish.

At 45-2, Dhawan and Pant came together to put on 130 runs. While Dhawan dropped anchor at one end, Pant attacked the bowling in his naturally aggressive style, hitting five boundaries and three sixes. India appeared to be cruising in the chase before Pant, against the run of play, tried a reverse sweep and was bowled by Keemo Paul in the 19th over, leaving India needing seven runs from 11 deliveries for victory.

It allowed West Indies to close in and it became five runs needed off six balls. Dhawan was dismissed on the penultimate ball when he holed out to long on from Fabian Allen’s bowling. The Proteas were under pressure at 3-55 in the 16th over after being sent in to bat before du Plessis (125) led a comeback with Miller (139) to give South Africa 320-5 after its 50 overs.

The pair’s stand of 252 was the biggest ODI partnership against Australia. Elliott and Prescott lead the Cowboys past Eagles 27-20 By ROB MAADDI AP Pro Football Writer PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Ezekiel Elliott had 151 yards rushing and his go-ahead 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter helped the Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-20 last night. The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles fell to 4-5 with their third straight loss at home while the Cowboys improved to 4-5. Dak Prescott had 270 yards passing, tossed for one touchdown and also ran for a score. Elliott also had a TD reception. Carson Wentz threw a pair of TD passes to Zach Ertz, but his pass to Ertz on fourth down fell a yard short of a first down at the Cowboys 29 with 1:09 left. The Eagles got the ball back at their 32 with 40 seconds left and drove to the Cowboys 32 for the final play. Wentz completed a pass to Ertz inside the Dallas 10. Ertz lateralled to Golden Tate but he was tackled for no gain to end it. It was a defensive battle into the third quarter before the offences went back-and-forth. Elliott ran in from the 1 to give Dallas a 27-20 lead after Prescott completed passes of 24 yards to Amari Cooper and 23 yards to Allen Hurns on the drive. Coming off a bye, the Eagles were listless in the first half and trailed 13-3 before rallying to tie it on Wentz’s 15-yard TD pass to Ertz late in the third quarter. Elliott accounted for 57 of the 75 yards on the drive. But the Eagles answered. Wentz hit Nelson Agholor, who made an excellent

catch for a 51-yard gain to the Cowboys 8. Wentz found Ertz in the back of the end zone for a 1-yard TD pass to tie it at 20-20. Prescott engineered a 75-yard drive in the final 90 seconds of the first half to send the Eagles into the locker room to a chorus of boos from a frustrated crowd.
