Tournament organiser Geno Bullard called the tournament a success with a mixture of teams from New Providence and a visiting team from the Turks & Caicos making their second straight appearance. He noted that Clement Howell advanced to the final four in both the junior and senior boys’ divisions with their junior boys falling short in the final against DW Davis. But he noted that their performances boosted their participation in the tournament and they have indicated that they intend to be back next year to go for the whole hog. “They were very pleased with their performances and they are engaged and working on the small things to help them to get over the hump so that they can take the title back to the Turks,” Bullard said. “They assured me they will go back to the drawing board and use this experience to be able to platform their success so that they can return to the tournament next year.” With teams participating from all sectors of competition in New Providence, Bullard said it made it very competitive as they wind down their school year. “We just wanted to provide more opportunities for the schools to compete in so they won’t have to take on the expenses of having to travel,” Bullard said. “They got a chance to play in some organised competition where the coaches say they were able to make some corrections from one game to the next.

Hugh Campbell Tournament just after they won the Government Secondary Schools Sports Association’s senior boys title. “With it being postseason, the guys are still putting in the off-season work, so I feel very good about what we were able to

accomplish, “ Bowles said. “We gelled, we played as a team, played as a unit, so I felt we played very well. Everybody seemed to be really upbeat, very excited and very entoned with each other, so the tournament
