Despite portraying Dunder Mifflin frenemies Pam Beesly and Angela Martin on the hit television show The Office, Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey have been best friends for over eighteen years. For nine seasons they battled over party planning, relationship advice, and baby names, while behind the scenes they supported each other through life-changing events like marriage, motherhood, and careers that took them all over the globe.
In The Office BFFs, the ladies share heartfelt and humorous stories about their time together making The Office, giving readers insights into everything from their first meeting on the pilot to the shooting of iconic episodes like “Booze Cruise” and “Work Bus” to their hilarious adventures on the red carpet. In candid conversations complete with personal mementos and photographs, Jenna and Angela take a dive deep into their special friendship and how it’s evolved from having lunch together in their on-set trailers to creating their own media company and hugely successful podcast, Office Ladies
The Office BFFs is a testament to a beloved TV show and to the power of best friendship as told by two great storytellers who love to gab.
The evening is presented in partnership with The Strand Bookstore.
“I was there. I witnessed the genesis of an enduring friendship. It was a lovely thing to behold. Office BFFs is a funny, charming and completely honest account of two newly minted best friends, and their unique experiences while working together on a certain NBC comedy. Although, I think that they should have called their book ‘Soup Snakes.’”
– Steve Carell
“If you like The Office, and even if you don’t (but…seriously? Why don’t you? Rude.) you’ll love this endearing book from my pals Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey. They share how their friendship carried them through the ups and downs of their professional lives, personal lives, moments of heartache and moments of joy. Office BFFs is a celebration of the show, but also a celebration of the power of female friendship.” – Mindy Kaling
“I have learned more about The Office from Jenna and Angela’s book than I did from working on the show.” – B.J. Novak
“We were all lucky to be on a hit show for nine seasons, but Jenna and Angela were even luckier because they found lifelong friendship, too. That’s what Office BFFs and their hit podcast, Office Ladies is all about! Consider this book approved by the OG Party Planning Committee.” - Kate Flannery and Phyllis Smith
“I love knowing that Ange & Jenna are real life BFF’s all because of a hit show that people adored and still adore—just look at the success of their podcast Office Ladies. But even more fun (at least for me) is hearing what went down behind the scenes. And as someone whose favorite pastime is observing famous people at parties, Office BFFs gives me everything I wanted and didn’t know I needed.” - Retta, comedian and star of Parks and Recreation
“The Office BFFs is like having tea with Angela and Jenna—while dressed in your coziest drawstring pant, of course!—and getting all the dish on what it was really like to work on one of the funniest, most inventive, and enduring TV shows in recent memory. They make you feel like you were not only right there on set with them, but also part of their special friendship.”
- Jennifer Keishin Armstrong, author of Seinfeldia and When Women Invented Television

The Strand, located at 12th Street and Broadway in NYC, carries over 2.5 million used, new, and rare books, covering topics as far-ranging as occult to philosophy to finance. The Strand was born in 1927 on Fourth Avenue on what was then called “Book Row.” Book Row covered six city blocks and housed forty-eight bookstores. Benjamin Bass, the founder, was twenty-five years old when he began his modest used bookstore. He sought to create a place where books would be loved, and book lovers could congregate. He named his bookstore after the London street where avant-garde writers like Thackeray, Dickens, and Mill once gathered and book publishers thrived. The Strand quickly became a Greenwich Village institution where writers went to converse, sell their books and find a hidden treasure to buy. Today, the Strand is the sole survivor of Book Row’s colorful past. The bookstore is led by third generation owner Nancy Bass Wyden, who is honored to carry her family’s 94-year legacy forward. www.strandbooks.com.

Town Hall has played an integral part in the electrifying cultural fabric of New York City for more than 90 years. A group of Suffragists’ fight for the 19th Amendment led them to build a meeting space to educate people on the important issues of the day. During its construction, the 19th Amendment was passed, and on January 12, 1921 The Town Hall opened its doors and took on a double meaning: as a symbol of the victory sought by its founders, and as a spark for a new, more optimistic climate. In 1921, German composer Richard Strauss performed a series of concerts that cemented the Hall’s reputation as an ideal venue for musical performances. Since, Town Hall has been home to countless musical milestones: The US debuts of Strauss, and Isaac Stern; Marian Anderson’s first New York recital; in 1945, Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker introduced bebop to the world; Bob Dylan’s first major concert in ‘63; and much much more.
