DID You KNOW?
Monthly friendly advice for our Reunion neighbors about covenants issues & guidelines
Outside Maintenance – Although we don’t generally think of winter as a time to consider gardening needs, it is the perfect season to prune, clear away debris, and plant some hardy foliage like pansies or cabbage. Keeping the outside of your home tidy during the winter not only provides a welcoming appearance to the neighborhood but it eases the more demanding spring cleanup. Local garden shops can give great advice on inexpensive ways to enhance your outdoor space and improve the quality of your lawn for the hot summer months ahead. Cars Again – Vehicles parked on the road when driveways are sitting empty not only causes unnecessary congestion on our streets, but they have been the cause of near accidents, particularly if they are parked on a curve in the road or on a hill. All cars/trucks should be parked in the driveway unless it is absolutely impossible to do otherwise and, at that, street parking is limited to four hours. This is applicable to homeowners, guests, and service providers as well. Ticketed Offenses – A note of caution - cars parked going against traffic are subject to a fine by the County Sheriff. Trash - Trash containers should be brought in as soon as possible after pick-up hours. They cannot be stored outdoors where they are in view of neighbors, those passing by, or the golf course. House Painting – If you think your home will be in the need of painting in the spring it is best to contact contractors during the winter months to get on their list. Contractors become very busy when the weather improves and their calendars fill up quickly. Remember, if you are seeking a color change, it must go through the modification process which can take several weeks. Sidewalks – The sidewalks in front of homes are the responsibility of the homeowner to maintain. Hopefully, we won’t experience bad weather this year, but you should be aware that clearing walkways of ice and snow (as applicable) could help to avoid an unfortunate slip and issues of liability.

When was the last time you had a review of your insurance? ...they are always available to guide us along with expertise and kindness, a ready smile or a concerned ear. We happily continue to refer our friends and neighbors – they have proven time and again that Nationwide, and the Gillespie Family Agency, is always “on your side”. Jessica M. Gillespie Family Agency are truly wonderful people who strive to offer great insurance protection at a reasonable cost with a caring and professional demeanor. They make you feel safe and protected as if you are a member of their family. I must also add, they are great neighbors, as well. Dana L.
