From a storefront on the railroad tracks in Ashland, VA to a 280,000-square-foot office and warehouse, The Supply Room has steadily grown to become the largest independent office solutions dealer in the mid-Atlantic, and the second largest in the United States.
Meade Jones founded Meade & Company in 1951 as an office supplies store and gift shop in the heart of downtown Ashland, VA. For nearly 30 years, Meade and his wife Laura ran the store. In 1979, Yancey Jones joined the family business as a salesman and purchased the company two years later. Over the next 45 years, The Supply Room grew through a series of mergers and acquisitions from Virginia Beach to Roanoke to Baltimore.
