HE Department of Justice said it is preparing a legal briefer to give President Marcos options in connection with the International Criminal Court, including the possibility of allowing ICC prosecutors into the country as well as the steps to take should arrest warrants be issued against Filipinos, including on former President Rodrigo Duterte. “The department is now preparing a legal briefer for the President which will describe to him the options available in relation to any arrest warrants by the ICC,” Justice Assistant Secretary Mico Clavano said in an interview. “The briefer will be an objective statement or analysis of the pros and cons of each option because we are aware that the policy of the government

DepEd to end school year in March 2025 By Ratziel San Juan THE Department of Education (DepEd) on Wednesday said they plan to end the coming school year (2024-2025) by March 31, 2025 and resume the following school year (2025-2026) by June the same year to return to the old academic calendar. Education Assistant Secretary Francis Cesar Bringas in a televised briefing said next school year (2024-2025) will begin by July 29 and will likely conclude by the end of March 2025. This will still allot students two months of vacation time before the start of the following school year in June 2025.
