YPHOON “Egay” (international name Doksuri) pounded the northern Philippines on Wednesday, killing at least one person, toppling trees, knocking out power and dumping heavy rain that caused flash floods and landslides as thousands sheltered with neighbors or in emergency evacuation centers.
