In 2026, communities across the country are coming together to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and reflect on the journey that has brought us to this moment. This historic milestone offers an opportunity to celebrate our shared heritage, honor the achievements of the past and look toward the future with optimism and purpose.

Redmond’s America 250 celebration brings that spirit to Central Oregon through a series of events, activities and experiences designed to bring the community together. From family friendly gatherings and live entertainment to educational programs and local traditions, the celebration highlights the people and stories that make Redmond a special place to call home. Whether you are a longtime resident or visiting for the ﬁrst time, we invite you to join us in commemorating America’s 250th birthday and celebrating the community that continues to shape its future.

Location: Parade on 6th St. from Dogwood to Forest Ave., Downtown Redmond

See Fireworks Light up Our Big Sky. The show starts at dark. People’s faces light up soon thereafter. Fireworks are launched from the Expo Center. Remember there’s no parking there or along the adjacent roadways. Instead, lay down a blanket in Centennial Park, pull up a chair at Juniper Golf Course, or grab a seat on a rooftop deck. You can watch the show from pretty much anywhere in town.

Hayden’s mother, Virginia, did more than help found our company in Redmond 37 years ago. She found the spirit of generosity in everyone she met. She knew a shoulder to lean on was stronger than any 2x4. And that leading by example was the greatest gift of all. So, we’ve partnered with nonprofits, provided the dream of homeownership to deserving families, and empowered every team member to be the next generation of givers. We call it Give As You Go™ . And it turns out Virginia was right. The more we give, the more grateful we are.
