We’re bringing the BCD to life with a one day festival celebrating creativity and community. Saturday transforms the district into an open-street festival with hands-on art, circus performances, games, artist booths, a kids zone, and evening DJ, theater and comedy shows.

The High Desert Fire Artists will transform the Bend Central District into a world of wonder with their bold, vibrant performance style. Guests will be captivated throughout the day by highflying aerialists, strolling stilt walkers, classic sideshow acts, and thrilling fire performances that ignite the imagination and leave audiences in awe.
Look up! Lava City Cirque is bringing aerial silks and circus arts to the Bend Central District Block Party. Watch local aerialists soar above the crowd while stilt walkers roam throughout the festival, adding a little wonder around every corner. CENTRAL OREGON LANDWATCH
Join Central Oregon LandWatch’s Cities & Towns team for guided walking tours of the Bend Central District at 1pm and 4pm during the Bend Block Party.
These free tours will explore the history, evolution, and future of the district while highlighting LandWatch’s advocacy work, the community vision for the area, and the opportunities and challenges shaping this emerging arts and innovation district. Along the way, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how thoughtful planning, creative placemaking, and community involvement are helping transform the Bend Central District into one of Bend’s most unique neighborhoods.

OPEN SPACE EVENT STUDIOS:
ART, THEATER & COMMUNITY
Open Space Event Studios will serve as one of the creative hubs of the Bend Block Party, transforming its iconic garage space into the Garage Theater — a whimsical performance venue showcasing local theater companies, improv groups, performers, and artists throughout the day.
Open Space will also host NOURISH, a special pop-up gallery and art sale benefiting Family Kitchen. Curated in partnership with FREAK’N ART, the exhibit features the work of 18 Central Oregon artists exploring themes of nourishment, creativity, community, and connection. Browse original artwork, meet local artists, and discover how art can help strengthen and support our community.

EXPLORE THE DISTRICT
The Bend Block Party isn’t just happening in the streets—it’s happening throughout the Bend Central District. Local businesses will be opening their doors with special events, demonstrations, shopping experiences and activities throughout the day. Take time to wander the district, meet local makers, discover hidden gems and support the creative businesses that call the BCD home.
NASHWOOD GALLERY - Explore handcrafted woodwork, fine art and creations from talented local artists. Meet makers, browse unique pieces and discover artwork inspired by Central Oregon. 11am-4pm. 1385 NE 2nd Street.
CAMP CLAY - Join us for live music and drinks, and shop ceramic works from our studio members as well as a selection of goods from other vendors! Plus, experience wheel-based demos during the event! 10am5pm. 147 NE Olney
FANCYWORK YARN SHOP – Discover a little unexpected joy at Fancywork Yarn Shop, Central Oregon’s home for exceptional yarn, handmade inspiration, and a welcoming maker community. During the Bend Block Party, Fancywork will host a Fiber Arts Showcase featuring knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, and other slow-fashion crafts. Visitors who sign up for the Fancywork newsletter and follow them on Instagram will receive a coupon for $10 off a class. Be sure to also visit ReCraft Supply, Fancywork’s craft thrift annex, where you’ll find affordable creative materials ready for a second life.

SOMEWHERE THATS GREEN - Discover Bend’s favorite plant shop during the Bend Block Party. Explore a beautiful collection of houseplants, pottery, gifts, and botanical treasures in a space designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection. THE GREENHOUSE CABARET - The Greenhouse Cabaret will host live music and theatrical performances throughout the day — plus evening drag and burlesque shows to keep the party going after dark.
ROUNDABOUT FURNITURE - Discover unique furniture, home décor, and vintage finds at this locally owned consignment shop in the heart of the Bend Central District. Founded on a passion for sustainability, creativity, and giving quality pieces a second life, Roundabouts offers an ever-changing collection of treasures for your home. OPEN ARTS CENTER - As a nonprofit dedicated to supporting artists, makers, and lifelong learners, the OAC provides space for classes, workshops, studios, and creative collaboration. Visit during the Bend Block Party to explore the center and experience one of the Bend Central District’s newest creative gathering spaces. 999 NE 2nd St. Open Arts Center will bring hands-on creativity to the Bend Block Party with interactive community art stations and an open house inviting guests to explore the space and join in the fun throughout the day.
FASHION FOR EVERYONE
Hands-on, creative, and community-driven—Fashion for Everyone brings a mobile fashion classroom to the Bend Central District. Step inside their traveling workshop to catch live demos, explore upcycled materials, and learn more about sustainable fashion practices. They’ll also have fabric and supplies available for purchase, making it easy to bring a little creativity home with you.
