Ogden Prepares for Largest Influx Since 2002 Olympics with Celebratory Street Festival
May 9th, 10th & 11th – Ogden, Utah. This May marks the sesquicentennial of the connection of the Transcontinental Railroad. Ogden Downtown Alliance, Visit Ogden and Ogden City will host a three-day special Anniversary Edition of the Annual Heritage Festival commemorating the driving of the Golden Spike, the final spike of the Transcontinental Railroad. Bringing an influx of visitors into the downtown core over the weekend, the 150th Anniversary is a prime opportunity to showcase the local grit and gumption that made, and continues to make, O-Town what it is.
