Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started in the wedding Hair & Makeup Industry?
Hey, I’m Kiera I’m 30 years old and I’ve been styling hair for over 10 years. I stepped into the world of bridal hair in 2021 and honestly, I’ve never looked back.
Bridal just clicked for me, the creativity, the energy, the emotion, it’s where I’m meant to be.
What services do you offer to Brides and their bridal parties?
I offer bridal hairstyling, hair extensions, and content creation, very much a comb and a camera kind of vibe
I love capturing those behind-thescenes moments while creating hair that feels effortless but elevated.

what is your typical process when working with a bride, from the initial enquiry to the wedding day?
Your journey with me usually starts with an email consultation. You’ll tell me all about your wedding details and the vibe you’re going for, and from there I can decide whether I’ll manage the job solo or bring in assistance
Once your dress is chosen, we aim to book a preview around three months before the wedding. This is where everything really comes together and we’ll decide if extensions are needed, whether that’s clip-ins or a more permanent method, which I can provide. From there, we refine the look until it’s as close to your vision as possible.
what areas do you cover? and do you travel out of scotland for weddings?
I cover all of Scotland, the wider UK, and destination weddings upon request. I genuinely love travelling across Scotland, discovering new venues is one of my favourite parts of the job
what makes your bridal service unique
It’s about so much more than hair. I’m usually the first supplier you’ll see on the morning of your wedding, and I bring whatever energy you need
If you want calm and reassuring, I’m that person. If you want good vibes and hype energy, I’m there, your built-in bestie And if you and your gang are already vibing, I’m more than happy to take a step back and just enjoy the morning with you.
One thing’s guaranteed: I’ll always bring a speaker, sort the playlist, and help set the tone for the day.

I love that they offer a completely exclusive experience and don’t rush brides through multiple weddings a day it makes everything feel so special what are your favourite wedding venues in scotland and why?

Over the weekend of the 20th to 22nd of February, I had the honour of working backstage at a show at London Fashion Week the amazing House of Ikons - an incredible platform that helps to launch the careers for many emerging designers and creatives within their chosen fields.
This was an incredible opportunity to work outwith the wedding industry, and has become an incredible memory that I am very excited to relive in September.





In the modern marketplace, ethical consumerism is on the rise. However, as shoppers look for products that align with their values, they often encounter a confusing web of terminology Two of the most common labels—vegan and cruelty-free are frequently used interchangeably, but they represent very different standards of ethical production.
Understanding the distinction between these terms is essential for any consumer looking to make truly informed purchases
To navigate the aisles effectively, one must first understand the specific definitions of these industry terms:
Vegan: A vegan label indicates that a product contains absolutely no animalderived ingredients
Cruelty-Free: This label refers specifically to the testing process. A cruelty-free product is one where neither the finished product nor any of its individual ingredients were tested on animals.
The most critical takeaway for consumers is that a product can be one without being the other. Because "vegan" refers to ingredients and "cruelty-free" refers to testing, the following scenarios are common in the beauty and household industries:
Vegan but not Cruelty-Free:
A product may be free of animal ingredients but still undergo animal testing during development.
Cruelty-Free but not Vegan: A product may never be tested on animals, yet still contain animal-derived ingredients such as beeswax.
Avoiding the "Greenwashing" Trap

Relying on marketing claims on the front of a package is often not enough To ensure a product meets your ethical standards, consider these two steps:
Look for the Logo: Search for the Leaping Bunny logo on the back of the packaging, which is a gold standard for verifying cruelty-free status.
Conduct Independent Research: When in doubt, utilize third-party databases or the brand's official documentation to verify their testing and sourcing policies.
By looking past the initial labels and doing a bit of "homework," consumers can ensure their spending power supports brands that truly reflect their ethical priorities

Planning a wedding and stepping into marriage is one of the most exciting times in a woman’s life.
It’s also one of the most emotionally intense.
