This edition celebrates some fantastic fundraising achievements, including our latest Care to Compete winners, Medical Outpatients, while also highlighting the many opportunities still available for teams to get involved over the coming months.

We’re looking for enthusiastic colleagues to take part in a charity Strictly Come Dancingstyle event – all in support of Barnsley Hospital Charity. Whether you’ve got two left feet or hidden ballroom talent, this is your chance to do something amazing.
Taking part is not about being perfect – it’s about having fun, building confidence, and coming together to raise money for a brilliant cause that supports our patients, staff and hospital community.

We are inviting children and young people - they can be relatives, friends, or patients to take part in a very special Christmas project!
This year, we are looking for beautiful, simple artwork designs that could be transformed into festive Christmas lamppost lights to brighten our hospital during the holiday season.
We would love to see creative ideas from children of all ages. Designs should use bright, cheerful colours but keep the artwork simple and clear so it can shine beautifully when displayed as a light
Please avoid using too many colours or very detailed drawings, as simple designs work best when turned into illuminated displays.
This is a wonderful chance for children and young people to share their creativity and help spread Christmas joy throughout our community.

We’re very proud to support the Trust‐wide Celebration Day, recognising the dedication, skill and impact of every role across our hospital.
While profession‐specific celebration days will continue, this shared event is about celebrating what unites us –working together to provide outstanding care and support for our patients and each other.

Taking place at Colliers Restaurant between 11am and 2.30pm, the event will feature indoor and outdoor market‐style stalls, with different professions showcasing their work through activities and engagement.
There will also be a range of treats available, including vegan and gluten‐free options, with celebrations extended to departments and night‐duty teams so no one is missed.
