Foster understanding and respect:
Use Lent as an opportunity to learn more about the practices and significance of the period for your Christian colleagues. Engage in open conversations to understand how you can better support them.
Acknowledge fasting practice:
Some Christians may choose to fast or give up certain foods or activities during Lent. Be mindful of this and avoid scheduling events or meetings that involve food especially on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday on 3rd April 2025.
Respect personal choices:
Some colleagues may choose to abstain from certain activities or foods. Be respectful of their choices and avoid placing temptations in their immediate environment.
Provide quiet spaces:
If your workplace has a quiet room or prayer space, ensure it is available for those who wish to use it for prayer or reflection during lent. The chapel is never locked and is available on ground floor Blue Zone, near ward 16-24 lifts.
