The FiiO Warmer R2R is a compact desktop DAC that aims to bring a bit of analogue character to modern digital listening. It is designed to sit between your audio source and your amplifier or active speakers, converting digital signals into analogue sound while adding a subtle valve flavour along the way. If you find some digital setups a touch clinical, this is clearly intended to soften the edges without sacrificing detail.
At the heart of the unit is an R2R ladder DAC rather than the more common chip-based design. In simple terms, that approach is often associated with a smoother and more natural results. There is a pleasing sense of flow to vocals and acoustic instruments, with good texture and depth. You can switch between different operating modes, including an option that keeps the signal path more direct for those who prefer a purer sound.
The valve stage uses four E88CC tubes, they are visible through the top and give off a gentle glow in use, adding to the retro feel. Sonically, they bring a touch of warmth and body, but it is not overdone. The sound remains clear and controlled, just a little more relaxed and inviting.
Connections are generous. You get USB, optical and coaxial inputs, so it will happily work with a computer, streamer or CD transport. On the output side there are both RCA and balanced XLR sockets, making it easy to slot into a proper hi fi system. The built-in power supply feels solid and helps keep background noise low.
There is no headphone output, so you will need a separate amplifier if you listen that way. Even so, for anyone after a more characterful and easy-going presentation from their digital sources, the FiiO Warmer R2R makes a very appealing case.

Unlike some tech this radio is built with simplicity in mind. The controls are straightforward and intuitive, with a clear tuning dial and volume knob that feel tactile and responsive. It does not overwhelm with unnecessary buttons or complicated menus, which is refreshing in today’s tech-heavy world. The BestTune function combines FM – DAB and DAB+ into a single station list and auto-selects service based on signal strength.
Sound quality is surprisingly decent for such a small device. While it won’t replace a high-end speaker system, the audio is clear and crisp enough for casual listening. The built-in speaker performs well in quiet environments, though in noisy settings it can struggle so using headphones (via the jack or Bluetooth 5.3 connection) is recommended for a better experience.
Battery life is decent at up to 12 hours from a single charge, but it can also be powered via USB port (Type C) if needed, making it practical for travel or outdoor use as well as indoors. The 2” colour display has dimmable brightness and will display images and information from the radio station (when broadcast). You can set your favourite stations to the built in memory with up to 120 station memory (40 BestTune, 40 DAB, 40 FM) being stored directly onto the device.
The telescopic aerial and keylock allow you to carry the radio in your pocket without issue and Dual alarm features two independent alarms, allowing you to set it to your favourite radio station when work starts or automatically tune into a scheduled show.
Design-wise, the Sharp OSAKA Pocket Radio has a retro appeal with a modern twist. It comes in a variety of colours including classic black, vibrant red, sleek silver, and a soft pastel blue, allowing you to pick one that suits your style. Its sturdy build feels durable, and the finish is neat without being flashy. It’s a device that feels made to last rather than something disposable.

There are three preset temperature levels you can toggle through with the one button on the side, and if you want more precise control, you can connect it to the STORZ & BICKEL web app via Bluetooth. Through the app you can fine tune the base temperature and boost settings to suit your preferences and herb. The mix of simplicity and customisation makes it suitable both for beginners and more experienced users. Other features include the ceramic-coated filling chamber and medical-grade materials give a premium feel despite the compact frame. The battery life is decent enough for several short sessions, though heavy use may see it needing a top up sooner.
There is a limitation to be aware of that the battery is built in and cannot be swapped. Additionally, it is designed only for dry herbs, so it is not suitable for tobacco. Overall, the VEAZY manages to squeeze respected vapour quality into a pocketable and stylish device. It is ideal if you want high quality extraction on the go without the bulk of larger devices, and the blend of simple controls and app customisation means it can serve a range of users well.

This beautiful looking pan comes from GreenPan’s Evolution collection and is their 28cm Frypan in an attractive Teal finish (also available in 24cm and 30cm). It blends modern style with everyday cooking needs whilst looking inviting on the hob and feeling solid in your hand. It is crafted from 100% recycled aluminium and features a PFAS-free ceramic non-stick coating, it is designed to make cooking and cleaning easier while avoiding the chemicals found in many traditional non-stick pans.
The 28cm pan gives plenty of room for frying eggs, pancakes, vegetables and meat without crowding. The Thermolon ceramic coating, reinforced with diamond particles, offers a smooth surface that helps food release easily and makes wiping the pan clean much quicker than older style pans. The Scatch Guard treatment also helps increase the lifespan of your pan against utensils.
This pan works on all hob types, including induction, gas and electric. The Balance Pro technology and Magneto induction base stays flat and distributes heat evenly, which means fewer hot spots and more consistent cooking results. It is also oven safe up to around 220 °C, so you can start a dish on the hob and finish it off in the oven without changing cookware.
The handle is made from stainless steel and while it looks attractive, it can heat up during cooking, so using an oven glove or mitt is sensible when the pan is hot. Being dishwasher safe is convenient, though hand washing with a soft cloth and warm water will help maintain the coating for longer.
In day to day use this frying pan is excellent for everyday meals. The ceramic surface generally performs well for eggs, fish and stir-fry style dishes, and the pan feels responsive under gentle heat. It is not professional chef equipment, but for most home kitchens it strikes a fine balance of performance, ease and style.

rOKr parallel WOrld Marble ruN
We haven’t come across ROKR before, but it appeared to be right up our street at first look. The ROKR Parallel World Marble Run came with two kits, The Last City and The Future City set. These imaginative construction kits combine mechanical movement with detailed design, each having their own distinct character. Both are made from 130 pieces of precision cut wooden pieces that slot together neatly and feel sturdy once complete.
Building is a central part of the experience. The pieces fit together without glue, and the instructions are clearly laid out, making the process super enjoyable and mindful. As you assemble each section you begin to see how the structure supports the marble track, which adds a satisfying sense of progress as the model takes shape.
Once finished, the real appeal is in the motion. Each city contains a network of ramps, bridges and clever mechanisms that guide marbles through a continuous journey. The powered lift takes the marbles to the top before it speeds all the way down though the maze. The integrated lights add another layer of excitement and you have the option of leaving them on for display.
The Last City has a slightly more intricate and layered look, with winding routes and hidden paths. The Future City feels more streamlined and playful, with smoother lines and visible moving parts that highlight the engineering behind it. Watching the marbles travel from top to bottom is oddly mesmerising and encourages you to run them again and again.
The two models can be displayed side by side and make an eye catching feature on a shelf or desk. They are not just decorative though, as the moving parts are durable enough for regular use although its worth noting it isn’t the quietest. Overall this set offers a thoughtful mix of creativity, problem solving and visual appeal. It suits anyone who enjoys hands on projects and mechanical design, delivering a build that is as satisfying to complete as it is to watch in action.

Straight out of the case they feel light and comfortable, with a secure fit that works well for everyday listening as well as trips to the gym or a walk to the shops. Sound quality is a real surprise, it supports LDAC for higher quality wireless audio on compatible devices, which helps bring out more detail and depth than standard Bluetooth streaming. The overall tuning is well balanced with a satisfying low end, clear vocals and crisp but controlled treble. They are easy to listen to for long periods and will suit everything from podcasts to your favourite tunes.
Active noise cancelling is built in and does a respectable job of reducing background rumble from traffic or public transport. It will not match the most expensive models on
the market, but it makes a noticeable difference in busy environments. There is also a transparency mode that lets outside sound in when you need to stay aware of what is going on around you.
The touch controls allow you to manage playback, calls and noise control without constantly reaching for your phone, they can be a bit fiddly and a little over sensitive in their response so it may be easier to control from your phone.
Battery life is another strong point. You can expect close to ten hours from the earbuds on a single charge, with well over forty hours available when using the charging case. A quick top up provides a useful boost if you are in a hurry. It also stops you becoming distracted with a quick check of social media whilst the phone is on in your hand. In terms of features, it keeps things simple. It has an 8mp F/1.8 f=4.8mm (32 mm equivalent in 35mm terms) 1/3.2" with a fixed focus lens, so there are no settings to adjust. There is a small optical viewfinder to help you frame your shot and a built-in LED flash for darker scenes. The camera stores roughly 2,000 photos on pre-installed 4GB tf card and the battery will manage around 500 shots on a full charge. Charging and file transfer are done via USB C, which keeps things straightforward when you want to move and view your photos a laptop.
Image quality is decent rather than outstanding, it does come pre-loaded with the Camp Classic filter, for that classic summer camp vibe. In good light the pictures are bright and colourful, with a slightly nostalgic feel. In lower light they can appear a little grainy and soft, but that is still part of the charm.
