I hope each of you had an opportunity to enjoy the summer, spend time with family and friends, and find a little time to rest and recharge. Before we leave summer behind, I have to take a moment to celebrate our phirst-ever Summer Hang Out! A special shout-out and thank you to Stregthen Our Sisterhood Chairman, Soror Edna Clark, Co-Chairman, Soror Cyd Grace, and the Strengthen Our Sisterhood Committee for creating such a wonderful afternoon of fellowship for our Sorors, families and friends.

The day also included another Omega Xi Omega phirst — Pretty Girls Pray with Power in the Park! A special thank you to Madam Chaplain Rock Mathies for leading us in a beautiful and powerful moment of prayer and reflection. What a wonderful way to fellowship, enjoy each other and make a few new OXO memories together!

As we return from our summer break, I’m looking forward to reconnecting and being together again. We have much to look forward to during these final months of 2026, beginning with our Leadership Retreat and Chapter Meeting on September 20. September also brings us another step closer to celebrating 10 years of Omega Xi Omega! As we prepare for this special milestone, don’t forget that ordering for our beautiful Omega Xi Omega necklace has been extended through September 20. Additional information is included in this month’s newsletter. And before we know it, we’ll be heading to Grand Rapids for the Michigan Cluster in October! As we move into the final months of the year, I encourage each of us to stay engaged, extend grace to each other, and remember that every Soror has something valuable to contribute to Omega Xi Omega. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again and finishing 2026 together!

Omega Xi Omega Chapter Values Statement The Omega Xi Omega Chapter was chartered and exists as the result of clear collective vision and strong leadership. There Is a Champion in You Welcome back, Sorors! As we return from summer recess and step into a season of Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the World. Let’s remember something important: there is a champion in you. God has already placed gifts, strength, purpose, and influence within you. You don’t have to wait for someone to recognize it, because your worth was established by the One who created you. Being a champion isn’t always about being first, winning the moment, or standing in the spotlight. Sometimes it looks like showing up with excellence, encouraging another Soror, serving with compassion, using your voice, or having the courage to keep moving forward. God reminds us in Romans 8:37 that we are more than conquerors through Him. So walk into this season knowing who you are and whose you are. Lastly, never forget that there is a champion in you.

Greetings Sorors, Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful summer break and are energized as we embark on a new program year filled with purpose, impact, and opportunity. This year, under the visionary leadership of Madam Supreme Basileus Charletta Wilson Jacks, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® begins a new administration guided by the inspiring theme: "Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the World." This theme is more than a slogan. It is a call to action. It challenges each of us to deepen our impact through meaningful service, strengthen the bonds of sisterhood that unite us, and lead with courage, compassion, innovation, and excellence in every space we occupy. At the 72nd Boule, Madam Supreme introduced the new international program targets that will guide our work during this administration. You will find details of these exciting initiatives throughout this newsletter. The good news is that Omega Xi Omega is already well-positioned to answer the call. Many of the activities and initiatives outlined in the new targets have long been part of our chapter's journey and commitment to serving the Macomb County community. As we seek to define what it means for Omega Xi Omega to Champion Service in Macomb County, every Soror's participation is essential. Our committees are the engines that drive our programs, strengthen our chapter operations, and help bring our vision to life. If you have not yet signed up for a committee, I strongly encourage you to do so today. Several committees are already off to a strong start, while others are eager to welcome additional members and fresh perspectives. Together, we have an extraordinary opportunity to: Support and strengthen families Invest in educational excellence Prioritize health and wellness Advance economic prosperity Celebrating arts and culture Advocate for our communities Engage and inspire the next generation Expand our global reach and impact As we begin this exciting new chapter, let us embrace the call to serve, connect, and lead.
