The real estate market in our area continues to be dynamic and steady, never boring and always evolving. While the overall number of sales has remained fairly consistent from the beach to town, we are seeing slightly elevated growth in key value indicators.
The average price per square foot and average sales price are both up, with the most noticeable increases occurring in our beach properties. As an example, the average sales price in Panama City Beach rose to $705,000 this quarter, up from $627,000 last quarter. In-town properties remain steady, and days on market are holding consistent with last quarter’s numbers.
As we often say about the weather in Florida — hang around long enough and it will change — and the same is true for real estate. While our market does shift, it continues to show resilience and long-term strength. With no state income tax, endless sunshine, beautiful beaches, and a strong sense of community, our area remains a solid and attractive place to invest, live, and grow.
