Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. now and forever. Amen.

SOME REMEMBRANCES OF A FRIEND AND COWORKER

I first met Betty Jean and her husband, Jerry Sullivan over 50 years ago, and some years later when we wanted to start “The Market” I asked her to join as co owner and sales representative. She said no to co owner but that she would work for me. Well, she never worked for me, she was the co-pilot! I was the head coordinator not her boss. Betty was diligent, protective of her customers and coworkers. She made sure to proof every ad she submitted, she wanted things right, even if it meant redoing it. She had many customers who became friends and were like family as my wife, Kay and our family had. She was proud of her high school sweetheart, Jerry, her children, Jay and Chrissy, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was a housewife first and enjoyed hosting and cooking for family and friends. Oh, but don’t say anything clownish about Jerry or you got the evil eye and cold shoulder for 2 or 3 days! Jerry was the same about her. When she left The Market, after 23 years, it was not because tired of the work, it was the Indiana snow and ice. It was time to let go of something she loved and helped to make into an important part of the communities it served. Rest In Peace, Betty Jean, You Earned It Jack Reimbold
