Walter Fritz, M.D.
PRACTICE KNOX WINAMAC COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER ANNOUNCES THE RETIREMENT OF WALTER FRITZ, M.D. A KIND AND THOUGHTFUL MESSAGE TO MY PATIENTS AND FRIENDS On August 1st, 2024, I will start my 50th year of family medicine practice in Knox, Starke County, and surrounding areas. I have enjoyed getting to know many of you, almost as another family member. However, the time has come to redirect my future focus toward regaining my total health and spending more time with my wife, Diana, and my family, who have patiently and tirelessly helped me with these endeavors. I will, therefore, be fully retiring on August 1, 2024. Hopefully, many of you have become acquainted with my skilled practice partners in the last few months. Medical Director John Bulger, M.D., nurse practitioners Roger Farris and Lesley Metts, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker Lori Truesdell. I assure you that these exceptional practitioners will continue to provide you with the same quality medical care. Your medical records remain at Knox Winamac Community Health Center and are available to others of your choosing. Thank you for allowing me to care for your medical needs. It has been my pleasure. Walter Fritz. M.D. Your 50-year work journey is an embodiment of dedication, wisdom and impact. Your legacy is woven into the fabric of Starke County, as well as Knox Winamac Community Health Center (KWCHC), and we are honored to celebrate this remarkable milestone with you. You are truly one of a kind and we are SO grateful for your perseverance and loyalty to not only KWCHC, but your patients and this county. It’s been an honor to be a part of your professional development. You’ve been there for some of the most trying times of your patients’ lives; some of whom wouldn’t be here without you today. Never underestimate how much one person can touch the lives of others – that you have done!! Thank you doesn’t seem enough! Here’s to your next chapter. Relax and enjoy; it’s been a long time in coming. We wish you nothing but the best; know and understand we are still here for you and will miss your presence daily! Board and Staff of KWCHC
