The year your vehicle came out is its number one selling feature. It needs to be printed in bold at the beginning of your ad. There’s a lot of difference between a Ford F150 and a Ford Windstar. Don’t just write Ford, Chevy or Dodge.
Use words such as excellent, brand new, antique, restored and needs work to describe your vehicle. Round mileage off to the nearest hundred or simply say “low miles” if that’s true.
Color is a major selling feature. For some buyers it’s more important than the model.
List your vehicle’s features such as air conditioning, stereo, power locks, anti-lock brakes, air bags, etc. Write “firm” after the price if you’re unwilling to bargain or write OBO which means “or best offer.”
This is the most important part of your ad. Make sure your phone number is correct. Let the potential buyer know when you’re available to answer their call. Avoid confusion in your home by letting the buyer know who to ask for.
