STAGECOACH: A New Era of Luxury Skiing Over the past couple of years, rumors have been circulating about something brewing in Stagecoach. Although many have dismissed these rumors as just another false alarm, this time they feel different. Instead of a flashy marketing campaign by a venture capitalist firm, the project has been quietly moving forward by the current owners with significant investments and work already underway. In September 2021, the owners increased their investment by purchasing 27 acres of land on a peninsula that extends into the Stagecoach Reservoir. The following summer saw the commencement of major renovations to the summit lodge, improvements to the access road, and extensive clearing projects. By February 2023, the owners had submitted formal plans to the county. The proposed private ski and golf club would span an area of over 800 acres, with the ski area covering 731 acres and featuring five lifts and 609 residential units.
