Students at A.L. Horton School transformed the gymnasium into a merry and bright atmosphere when they performed A Vegreville Christmas Concert on December 17.
Emcees narrated the script where they announced that the children were rushing home for the Christmas Lightup and they encounter the Big Guy in Red near the world’s largest Easter egg who took them on a magical tour through the wonders of the holidays.
This adventure include children dancing the Blitzen’s Boogie, Santa leading them to a group of children who look sad because they want to build a snowman but there isn’t any snow so, Frosty the Snowman eventually appears. Cultural expression was included where young performers sang an Inuit song about courage and survival, a couple of Ukrainian carols, and a French song. The LINKS Connection Class showed a video they made where students made crafts for the tree
