The seventeenth edition of the Madison Journal of Literary Criticism is an anthology of curated works that examine the concept of endurance in all its forms. From survival & resilience to defiance & resistance, endurance encapsulates how far we've come and where we must progress to next.
The corresponding MJLC study group this semester discussed endurance alongside hope, considering how it is maintained despite strife, analyzing it through various lenses and philosophies. Additionally, the study group reflected on resistance strategies that continue to be used today, from large scale boycotts and strikes to the familial resistance of local graffiti, taking time to discuss why certain organizations, methods, and strategies have stood the test of time.
We are honored to present the work of these talented writers and artists with you all.
Please enjoy the Endurance edition.
