News release One man in custody after early morning Break and Enter to local Business September 17, 2026 - City of Prince George, British Columbia From: Prince George RCMP File # 2026-32492 On September 16, 2026 at approximately 7:46 am, Prince George RCMP were called to a Break & Enter that had just occurred to a car dealership in the 1900 block of 20 Avenue in Prince George. It’s alleged the suspect broke into the dealership and stole keys to several cars parked at the lot. Prince George RCMP members saturated the area and located one of the stolen cars, abandoned nearby. A second vehicle that had 5
also been stolen, was observed by on scene members leaving the area. Police set up containment and conducted patrols until the vehicle was located in the 1900 block of Finlay Drive, where they observed the man flee on foot. With the assistance of Police Service Dog and a Drone, the 41 year old man Prince George man was located and taken into custody, within 25 minutes of the initial call to police. The man, who is known to Police, will be held for court. This event occurred in the proximity of Prince George Secondary School, who were notified of the search for the suspect and took action to secure the school and protect students. The man’s name will not be released until charges are approved by the BC Prosecution Service.
