TAURUS

(Apr. 21-May 20)

Before you can pursue the future you need to take the opportunity to deal with endings that are necessary. There can be much to think about to early February when it comes to commitments you either want to make or may need to make. There is a letting go process somehow attached to this as something can’t be the same anymore.

LEO (July 23-August 22)

You have got one last chance to get matters in order, which very likely relates to getting rid of the unnecessary so that usual routines can take a new direction more freely. Other people could present you with all sorts of things to consider up to mid February. They could be insistent and determined to have things go their way.

SCORPIO (Oct.23-Nov21)

Pay attention anything you need to wind up when it comes to ideas or plans you have been considering of late. There will be much to put in place up to mid February that could be quite different to the way you have set things up in your life before in that you can have a more intense focus. This may have some connection to home and family matters.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb.18)

The best thing right now is to find quiet time to yourself so that you can think over what has been and where you would like to head. If what you need to manage on a regular basis has grown out of hand since June, it may now be wise to work out ways of scaling this down. Focussing on your health is important to late June.

GEMINI (May 21

-June 20)

Any pressure from the expectations of others of late can start to wind up quite quickly, leaving you free to give thought up to early February as to where you want to head. Something that once seemed so important to head towards may have lost its appeal as you begin to realise there are other choices that could transform your life.

VIRGO

(August 23-Sept.22)

An overload of social focus of late will now begin to change bit by bit this week. The new centre of attention will be routine involved in daily activities up to mid February. Health can also come under the spotlight especially if you feel it is time to transform yourself in some way. You can develop the willpower to stick to it.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov.22-Dec.21)

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

There can be a weird combination of endings, associated with another person that has new beginnings attached. They could become quite secretive, up to mid February, when it comes to what they are seeking to transform in their life. Benefits can continue to come your way and this is what you should keep your focus upon.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct.22)

Getting a good foundation in place, which can include home and family matters, can now reach a point where you can leave some things behind because new directions are taking their place. There can be much to enjoy to mid February, although it could be a mixed bag. This might also involve new directions associated with young people.

CAPRICORN

(Dec. 22-Jan.19)

You could feel satisfied with any decisions you have made when it comes to your spending to bring some things to an end. It is creating a new beginning in a way and will now allow you to move on and put your mind to other things up to mid February. You could be surprised at how singularly focussed you can be.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

You could see the benefit of either letting go or winding up something that has been important for a long period of time. Your priorities are changing. It is possible you may feel you have little choice. Up to mid February you need to find time to yourself to contemplate the next stage of your life that begins from late January and mid February.

Things can start to quieten down on a personal level or where your involvement has been necessary. This could include many distractions you may have had to deal with. The New Moon this week is in your sign, placing you in a new situation in some way. This will be due to endings of some description, either chosen or not.

ARIES

(March 21-April 20)

You either need to take a new approach to commitments or take the opportunity to bring an end to any obligations that might be in the way of committing yourself to something new. This is an excellent time to initiate a fresh approach to your priorities in life. You could firm up something you felt was important, off and on, since 2023.

FROM A CONCERNED CITIZEN—COPIED

I encourage people to write a letter and email to reception@pgdiocese.bc.ca TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. DO NOT DELAY.

I am told the letter should start with the following paragraph. Feel free to copy and paste it, then amend to add your personal information. Be sure to place you name and address in the top of your email as you would in a letter.

Dear Bishop Stephen and Fr. John;

I, your own first and last hame, of Your number and street., Prince George, British Columbia, Canada your postal code, as an individual and in my own name as a parishioner of St. Mary’s Parish in the diocese of Prince George in British Columbia, Canada, am initiating formal recourse against the DECREE of Most Reverend Stephen Jensen and Reverend John Garden dated 25th day of January 2026, regarding the current condition of St. Mary’s Prince George Parish and the pastoral needs of the people of the parish. On January 25, 2026 your Excellency issued a DECREE that St. Mary’s Parish, Prince George British Columbia is to be extinguished and its people to be DIVIDED into the parishes of Christ Our Saviour, Prince George and Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish Prince George which will take effect on Sunday July 26, 2026. In accordance with the provisions of canon law, I respectfully ask you to rescind your decision as stated and recorded on Saturday January 25, 2026 in the DECREE with respect to St. Mary’s Prince George Parish of Prince George being extinguished.

Here write your reasons for asking that this decree be rescinded.

Some Ideas

St. Mary’s is self supporting. We’ve always met or exceeded our Diocesan goals for the Diocesan Appeal. We also have an annual collection to support the Pallottine Missions of Father Arudhas Lucas’ order of priests. Monthly we take up a collection for St. Vincent de Paul to feed the poor. New members are joining and supporting our parish, both foreign and non-foreign. Parishioners through collections financially support the school directly as well as the parish. Mass and sacraments form the spiritual and religious life of St. Mary’s students. School costs such as garbage collection and utilities are shared by the parish. We, for the most part, do not have the issues outlined in the background information at the beginning of the DECREE. We are probably 300 families and maybe 200 families attend each Sunday) ?? and Christ Our Saviour’s regular attendance is about 40 people?? So maybe they are 25 families?? These are educated guesses. Christ Our Saviour is up the Hart Hwy about a 20-25 minute drive from St. Mary’s.
