Saturday, May 9th:

2nd Annual Spring Artisan Market

The second annual spring artisan market is happening on Saturday, May 9th, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm at the Margaret Patrick Memorial Hall at 819 Centre Street in Burns Lake. The artisan market features herbalists, local artisans, Indigenous crafts and clothing, homemade baking, jewelry, homemade soaps, woodworking and more. There will be coffee and pastries and food and ice cream trucks on site.

Directions: Follow 9th Ave up to the top, turning left onto Gowan Road. At the Y in the road turn left on Boer Mountain Rd and continue for 2.9 kms until you reach the parking lot.

Description: An easy 2.8 km walk around Kager Lake and forests that surrounds it. This wide, well laid out trail also offers boardwalk sections over wetlands and all serenity and wildlife viewing that nature provides!

The Burns Lake Legion is looking for volunteer help on Fridays from 5 PM - 8 PM…..also on Saturday evenings! We are in search of servers for our dinner hours; this includes serving dinners, removing plates, wiping down tables, possibly preparing salads if need be, and wrapping cutlery if needed….NO DISH WASHING!!!
