Women in Leadership (WiL) empowers women in tea communities across Sri Lanka and in Assam, India through leadership training, gender equality education, and practical workplace systems. We make our natural, unbleached, gluten-free tea bags without strings, tags or staples because it reflects our overall commitment to the environment. We package the bags in airtight tins with tamper-evident seals so they remain fresh without using difficult-to-recycle materials.

WHERE DOES YOUR TEA COME FROM?

Our fine teas originate from many premium tea and herb gardens around the world, including gardens in Japan, South Africa, China, India, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Kenya. We select only the finest-quality leaves and proudly offer many teas to delight the palates of our esteemed Citizens.

HOW DO YOU DECAFFEINATE YOUR TEAS?

We use an environmentally friendly, chemical-free, high-pressure extraction method using naturally occurring carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), one of the most modern decaffeination processes. Because CO 2 is a natural component of the air, it is physiologically harmless and leaves no residue. Caffeine is selectively eliminated from the tea, conserving more beneficial components (antioxidants), flavor and color. This costly CO 2 method is the only one used at P, ensuring that flavor, color and quality expectations are met.

WHAT IS THE CAFFEINE CONTENT OF YOUR TEA?

Black tea has significantly less caffeine than a cup of coffee (with the exception of our HiCAF Teas, which have the same amount of caffeine or more than coffee). Our herbal blends are naturally caffeine free unless otherwise noted.
