Two very different kinds of camper feature in this month’s issue of The Landy. One is a 130 ambulance that’s been converted by RIG Automotive into an incredible high-spec luxury home from home. Complete with the latest tech and a slide-out bike carrier – plus its very own bike – it’s a new take on the sort of lifestyle Defenders that are all the rage nowadays. Then there’s the 110 we found for sale in Scotland, with a demountable camper body fitted out in a charmingly rustic style. Would you believe a log burner with its own demountable flue? And once it’s been demounted, you’re left with a Hi-Cap ready to go into the woods and collect all the logs you’ll ever need. What could be more Land Rover than that? Elsewhere in this issue, we’ve got a sublime Range Rover which had rotted half to death in the northern wastes of Scandinavia – before being reborn as a thundering resto-modded animal with the heart of a Corvette. What’s not to love?
