The venue is, as usual, the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. The date is Sunday 23 November. And the event is a festival of all things Land Rover! From Series to Puma, Raptor Engineering has the finishing touches for your Land Rover’s cabin
RAPTOR ENGINEERING is well known for its innovative products which make the very functional traditional Defender dashboard more functional than ever. But the company can do the same thing for the Series III, too, as well as older pre-Defender versions of the 90 and 110.
Robustly manufactured from steel and aluminium, the Defender and Series III Glovebox is tucked away out of sight and also comes with a lock. The glovebox unit is vented, too, so that air will flow straight through it and into the cab. Also available for the Defender and Series III are Raptor’s Trim Panels, which are neatly designed to tidy up and strengthen your truck’s dashboard by covering up the gaps. They come powder-coated and can also be drilled to mount switches and sockets, as well as providing a sturdy location for things like cup holders, nav mounts and so on. And it’s not just older Land Rovers
that you can improve with a bit of Raptor magic. The company’s Puma Pod, again made from steel and ali, is made to fit perfectly between the air vents on top of the Puma’s dashboard. It’s available with a choice of panels so you can choose whether to use it for gauges or switches. They’ll cut it to your own requirements for a few quid more, too.
Also for the final variant of the true Defender is the Puma Glovebox. This is an all-steel one-piece unit which comes ready to instal , with no fiddly hinges to fit or line up. If you can use a screwdriver, promises Raptor, you can fit it in literally five minutes!

1-of-1 classic Land Rovers rebuilt to the highest standards by Kent Heritage Works KENT HERITAGE WORKS INTRODUCES THE ADMIRAL – the ultimate classic Land Rover Series III. First shown at the 2025 Concours of Elegance, this 1976 88” has undergone two years of development and re-engineering to become the first in KHW’s exclusive ‘1-of-1 Collection’. This is a series of individual creations which are never to be repeated, guaranteeing their exclusivity.
While the vehicle has been comprehensively improved, however, it remains a Land Rover through and through. Its engine is a 3.5-litre V8, rebuilt by V8 Developments to produce huge amounts of torque, and its gearbox is a ZF automative as used in the original Range Rover. Further parts borrowed from elsewhere in the Land Rover portfolio include Range Rover diffs, Defender
brakes, P38 power steering and a Freelander 2 electronic handbrake. In addition, more than forty custom parts have been used, all of them designed in-house and 3D printed in hybrid carbon fibre. The Admiral is named after its paint finish, Admiralty Blue, a heritage colour reserved by the Royal Navy for vehicles used to transport VIPs. Inside, its bespoke cabin features a modified rear bulkhead for greater legroom and its seats are expertly trimmed in diamond-stitched tan leather. An integrated touch-screen allows full phone pairing and the cubby box contains yet another genuine Land Rover item, the fridge from a Range Rover Sport. In the back, the floor is trimmed in Flexiteek, a sustainable product free of any hardwood. ‘We have worked with our in-house team and some of the UK’s best artisan companies in the historic engineering and Land Rover industry,’ says Cliff Smith, the former Apple executive who founded Kent Heritage Works in the spring of 2024. Based near
Tunbridge Wells, the company boasts a staff who between them have more than 100 years’ experience in Land Rover servicing, repair and restoration. It describes its process as a blend of traditional fabrication and restoration skills with cutting-edge CAD design, 3D printing, integrated computer and vehicle systems as well as software programming, the result being ‘something truly unique’. The Admiral is priced at £180,000 plus VAT. It will be succeeded by two further builds, already in progress,
this time based on the Range Rover Classic and again promising to be completely unique. Kent Heritage Works also offers a full bespoke design and build service, saying ‘everything is literally possible’. Except replicating a 1-of-1 build, because they won’t do that. It’s not cheap – but it is part of ‘the world’s finest collection of unique, exclusive and individual classic Land Rovers and Range Rovers.’

Off-Road Course The Off-Road course is BACK IN ACTION at our NAEC Stoneleigh show this coming November. It was sorely missed last year and we can’t wait to see it being put to good use again, this time under the expert management of Explore 4x4! The course is suitable for all levels of driver ability and experience.
The course is also suitable for all makes and models from Series I’s to New Defenders and everything in between! Each driver will be accompanied by an Explore 4x4 instructor who will be on hand to offer advice and tips on how to drive off road and help you out should you be unfortunate enough to become stuck!
