Dr Dinesh Sabnis: Instilling the Sporting in the Field of Education

One of the best leadership qualities is usually found in a true sportsman, which is valid to quite an extent. It is quite observable how different and charismatic the sports personalities are, and one might even call it a stereotype, but then, are there any stereotypes without a little trace of truth to them? Looking at the athletes like Sachin Tendulkar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Virat Kolhi, Magnus Carlsen, and Lewis Hamilton, the things commonly found in them, apart from their love for sports, are their dedication, determination, and spirit of leading. These are the qualities of true leaders, which very naturally are rubbed onto the hands they hold. One such hand-held by the 1983 World Cup Team Hero, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, is Dr Dinesh Sabnis, who was earlier trained and groomed by a lost gem of Indian cricket, Eknath Solkar.
