Time is running out for search and rescue teams to find survivors, including Jews, following two devastating earthquakes that rocked the Turkish-Syrian border on Monday morning. Over 11,000 people have been killed following a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck near Gaziantep, southeast Turkey, followed by a 7.5-magnitude earthquake then aftershocks. The tremors was felt up to 250 miles away from the epicentre in Israel, Lebanon, Cyprus and Egypt. According to reports yesterday there were 8,500 fatalities in Turkey and 2,500 in Syria. Over 40,000 people have suffered injuries. Over 380,000 people are sheltering in government shelters, hotels, shopping malls, mosques and community centres.
