ranked among tops in state Education website Niche also ranks Herricks High among elite in N.Y. BY R O S E W E L D ON Districts and high schools in Great Neck, Port Washington, Manhasset, Roslyn and Herricks have been named among the top 100 of their kind in New York, according to a new list from K-12 education website Niche. The Great Neck public school system was named the second-best district in the state, and Great Neck South High School in Lake Success was ranked at No. 6 for public schools in the state, followed by Herricks High School at No. 11. Topping the list of best K-12 public schools is Stuyvesant High School, in Manhattan. The Jericho school district was ranked the best district in the state. These were the North Shore school systems listed as among the top 100 public K-12 districts in the state: 2. Great Neck Public Schools 5. Roslyn Union Free School District 6. Herricks Union Free School District

7. Manhasset Union Free School District 12. East Williston Union Free School District 13. North Shore Central School District 27.
