Annual fair set for Sept. 15
BY TOM M CC A RT HY The annual Williston Park Street Fair will be held on Sept. 15, uniting the Willistons for a big day, with changed leadership. This will be the event’s 41st year. This year’s fair will run along Hillside Avenue between Willis Avenue and the Long Island Rail Road station between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The event is run by the Chamber of Commerce of the Willistons. “Every year, we host an annual street fair where businesses and groups in Williston Park and East Williston come out and celebrate all that is happening in our town,” the chamber said in a statement. “This is a highlight of the life of our city every year and the Chamber of Commerce is proud to help with this event.” This year is the first time that Lucille Waters, former executive director for the chamber, will not be helping run the street fair after a 15-year tenure. I don’t know … The person was claiming to be me, signed my name to this email, but if you looked at it carefully, it did not come from my email address,” Celano said. “So that’s what we’re asking everyone to do at the organization — to look care-
fully at the email addresses and if it doesn’t look familiar delete it.” Celano said that aside from emphasizing deleting outside emails without opening them, another initiative the administration is taking is to back up all data on the network in case of a breach. Celano and the board said that the school is also copying its data onto offline backup systems along with an Apple Cloud backup. Continued on Page 67
