Longtime resident Frankel seeks Beber seat in uncontested race BY R O S E W E L D ON Two mayor seats, seven trustee seats and one village justice seat in municipalities across the Roslyn area will be up for grabs on Election Day, Tuesday, March 16. Notably absent from the list is the Village of Roslyn Harbor, which will not hold elections this year. ROSLYN ESTATES Mayor Paul Leone Peters and Trustee Brett Auerbach are up for two-year terms, while Trustee Georgann Polatov will not seek re-election. Efforts to reach the village clerk regarding challengers were unavailing. ROSLYN Mayor John Durkin is up for re-election, as are Trustees Marta Genovese and Sarah Oral. All three are seeking two-year terms and are uncontested. OLD WESTBURY No members of the Board of Trustees will be voted on, but

village Justice Susan J. SchmidtChorost is up for another four-year term. She is running unopposed. FLOWER HILL Trustees Frank Genese, seeking a third term, and Mary Jo Collins, seeking a first full term after serving the rest of Mayor Brian Herrington’s term as a trustee, will run for election to two-year seats. Trustee Claire Dorfman, who was appointed in November after the late Mayor Robert McNamara was elected a trustee, is seeking a oneyear term. All three, representing the Flower Hill Party, are running unopposed. Notably absent from the ballot this year is Trustee Jay Beber. A resident of the village’s Roslyn area, he has served on the board since 2014 and chose to retire after serving three terms.
