he three outstanding musicians of Chris Brubeck’s Triple Play will bring a joyous concert to the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center on Friday, Oct. 25. With deep musical roots, the talented trio includes Peter Madcat Ruth (on harmonica, guitar, jaw harp, percussion and vocals), Joel Brown (acoustic guitar and vocals) and Chris Brubeck (electric fretless bass, bass trombone, piano and vocals.) Times The trio’s musical history includes Chris and Madcat touring and recording together since 1969, first as young rock musicians in the group “New Heavenly Blue” (with albums on RCA and Atlantic Records), “Sky King” (on Columbia), and Chris Brubeck’s Triple Play then as jazz musicians touring the world with in Adelphi’s PAC Concert niors, students, alumni Dave Brubeck. and employees.
