SUNDAY, OCT. 11, 2026 KAUFFMAN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
In 2007, producer Sharon Browne filmed the first ever Celtic Thunder show at the Helix in Dublin, Ireland. The concept was to feature a group of men from Ireland and Scotland, who range in age from 21 to 42, and feature songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage. The resulting show included an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the traditional to international hits and some original pieces along the way. The current cast of Celtic Thunder is made up of performers Emmet Cahill, Neil Byrne, Damian McGinty and Ronan Scolard. The members of Celtic Thunder are each a powerhouse in both their solo and ensemble songs. Ably backed by the dynamic Celtic Thunder Band, their shows are known for the use of dramatic effects of lighting and choreography as well as a stage set resembling an ancient stone pathway
suggestive of those referenced in Celtic lore. Now for Fall of 2026, Celtic Thunder will complete its 18th tour of North America. Over the years, Celtic Thunder has been home to some of the finest vocalists in the world, and longtime fans will be thrilled to see their favorite voices come together, blending their talents in an atmosphere of warmth and nostalgia. Celtic Thunder has been hailed as BILLBOARD’s Top World Music Artist five times, along with Top World Music Imprint and Top World Album (2008, 2009, 2011, 2015 and 2016). The Celtic Thunder official YouTube channel, “Thunder Tube” has received over 350 million views since its inception in 2008 and has 415,000 active subscribers. Celtic Thunder also has over 1.1 million followers on its official Facebook page along with close to 1 million followers on Instagram.

Fifteen years later, they’re still here.

FRIDAY, NOV. 6, 2026 KAUFFMAN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
Anna Lapwood is one of the UK’s most dynamic ambassadors for classical music. As the official organist of the Royal Albert Hall, she has broken down genre boundaries and introduced a huge new audience to the organ. She has reached millions via her devoted social media following and helped revitalise repertoire for the instrument through the dedicated commissioning and performing of new works. She is also an established conductor and broadcaster, and a fierce advocate for the advancement of female voices within her industry. Anna is a graduate of Oxford University, where she was the first female Organ Scholar in Magdalen College’s 560year history. In 2016 she also became the Director of Music at Pembroke College, Cambridge – the youngest ever person to be appointed in that role at an Oxbridge college. Her time at Pembroke saw her found a much-lauded girls’
choir, commission works from leading choral composers and spearhead the release of five records. Her relationship with Royal Albert Hall has resulted in some of her most memorable pop collaborations including AURORA, Bonobo, Florence + the Machine, and Raye, as well as actor Benedict Cumberbatch for Letters Live. Her close relationship with the Hall has also led to the launch of a new annual Organ Scholar Programme, just one of several initiatives demonstrating Anna’s commitment to musical outreach and the fostering of young talent. Her relentless encouragement of and support for female organists in particular, has made her a role model within that community, neatly captured in the hashtag #playlikeagirl. Now with a three-million-strong social media following, she has helped bring the organ, and contemporary ideas of a what an organist can be, to a whole new audience. kauffmancenter.org . 2 3 .

Twin Peaks is the American drama television series created by Mark Frost and David Lynch that premiered in 1990 and returned in 2017 as Twin Peaks: The Return with many of the original cast members. The series gained a cult following and has often been listed among the greatest television series of all time. Serenity Rooms Patrons who would benefit from the use of a private, relaxing environment are invited to step into one of our two serenity rooms. These spaces offer comfortable seating and a monitor to view the live performance, plus sensory items, dimmable lights and an electrical wall outlet. Patrons may contact a staff member or volunteer to access this space. Changing Tables & Family Restrooms All family restrooms feature infant changing tables. The mezzanine family restroom features a changing table suitable for children or adults. Patrons needing a universal changing table or an additional private space to tend to medical needs should contact a staff member or volunteer for directions to the first aid office. Sensory Kits Patrons who would benefit from comforting sensory resources are invited to exchange an ID card for a sensory kit from coat check on the Plaza Lobby Level or the gift shop in Brandmeyer Great Hall. These kits contain resources such as noisereducing headphones, weighted lap pads and handheld sensory items.

E MERGE NCY EVAC UATIO N P ROC EDURES The Kauffman Center is equipped with advanced life-safety early alert systems. Each performance hall is designed with emergency exits in case of an evacuation. In the event of severe weather, shelter in place inside the hall, not in a lobby area, and await further instructions.
In the event of an emergency, the performance will be interrupted. Horns and strobes will sound. Emergency instructions will be delivered from the stage.
Please remain seated as staff use an appropriate amount of investigational time to verify the source of the alarm.* Should an evacuation be necessary, lighted red (Muriel Kauffman Theatre) and green (Helzberg Hall) exit signs will lead patrons to one of eight emergency exit paths.
Patrons who are not able to safely and comfortably navigate stairs should remain in the venue near one of the marked “Emergency Evacuation Assistance” areas. First responders will evacuate those requiring assistance immediately upon their arrival. Elevators, primary entrances and the Brandmeyer Great Hall staircase are NOT used in the case of an emergency evacuation.

KAU F FMAN CE N T ER L EG ACY SO C I ETY Legacy Society members have made planned gifts to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, helping the organization plan for the future.

Barbara and Doug Cusick became Kauffman Center supporters long before ground was broken for the building. “We were inspired by the many ways the Kauffman family has shown its support for Kansas City,” said Doug, “and we wanted to do what we could for the new performing arts venue.” Barbara and Doug opened their home and their unique collection of antique automatic musical instruments for fundraising events. They also made a generous capital gift, purchased a seat plaque in honor of his mother and contributed to the Jane Chu Arts Endowment. Now Doug and Barbara have looked ahead by making the Kauffman Center the future recipient of a life insurance policy their family no longer needs. “It’s as easy as changing the beneficiary’s name on a whole life insurance policy,” Doug explained. “We see this as a legacy from our entire family, that makes the performing arts and a vibrant downtown available to our kids, grandkids and beyond.” Christopher E.
