Recently, my wife and I returned from an incredible trip exploring a few destinations beyond our beautiful country. Along the way, we discovered breathtaking places, met wonderful people, and created memories that will stay with us forever.

Like many people, I often find myself moving at full speed—balancing work, family, health, social media, and countless other responsibilities. Taking time away allows us to slow down, reflect, and appreciate life without the constant demands and distractions of our fast-paced world.
During my travels, I was struck by something I heard repeatedly from people living and working in far more modest circumstances than many of us experience. Despite facing challenges, they often smiled and said, “I love
my job.” Their genuine happiness was inspiring and made me pause to think. Why is it that contentment sometimes seems easier to find with less?
Those conversations reminded me how fortunate we are and how easy it can be to overlook the blessings in our own lives. Living here in Orange County, we enjoy tremendous opportunities, beautiful surroundings, supportive communities, meaningful work, and, most importantly, the people we love.
Gratitude has a remarkable way of shifting our perspective. As the saying goes, “It's not whether the glass is half full or half empty—it's that you have a glass.”
My encouragement to you this month is simple: make time to step away, even if only for a weekend. Take a deep breath. Slow down. Sit in a garden, walk along the beach, or hike to a mountaintop...
