ity College’s $113 million Student Success Center will house 30 different student services that were previously spread across different parts of the campus. With construction hastily moving along since August 2023, Project Director Alberto Vasquez said, “We are scheduled to be completed by May of 2025 and moving services thereafter.” According to City College’s website, the Student Success Center would include up to 30 different services, such as academic counseling, tutoring, career center, and transfer center. Vasquez elaborated saying, “There'll be a Korean transfer, disability services, and a welcome center.” He added that having all the services in one building would make it easier for students to use as a “one stop shop.” On its website, Gensler, the architecture firm in charge of the project stated that “City College of San Francisco is building a new Student Success Center designed to boost enrollment and completion.” Without any serious remodeling of the campus since 1970 the Ocean Campus was long overdue for a makeover.
