School of Fine Art Meeting with the Staff

Sculpture and Environmental Art 1st floor

Staff across all undergraduate programmes in the School of Fine Art – Sculpture and Environmental Art, Painting and Printmaking, Fine Art Photography – will be available across floors of The Stow Building to talk to you about the programmes they teach and answer any questions you have about studying here. You will also get the chance to meet members of our Fine Art Critical Studies department who teach across all programmes.

Our Student Ambassador team along with members of staff from our technical support departments will be giving tours of The Stow Building. You will get a chance to see studio spaces along with the technical facilities available for students who study here. Each tour will take about 45 minutes, and the meeting point for all tours will be the main first floor landing.

Architecture Introduction to Architecture at the GSA Programme Talk

Lecture Theatre Ground Floor

This talk will introduce you to the things you can expect whilst studying in first year at the Mackintosh School of Architecture (MSA). You will hear from staff about our approach to teaching future architects in the Anthropocene, and we will also discuss the importance of history, theory and technology, as well as making and drawing, in architectural education.

Architecture Applying for Architecture Programme Talk

This talk will provide prospective applicants with details of how and when to apply to Mackintosh School of Architecture, along with advice on how to put together a strong portfolio and application to study here.

Architecture Studio Tour

Take a tour of the MSA facilities within the Bourdon Building, including our studio spaces and specialist workshop facilities. The meeting point for studio tours is the ground floor of the Bourdon Building.

How to Prepare a Portfolio Talk

Join our Portfolio Preparation team to find out more about how to build a strong portfolio which represents you and your work for your application to art school. The team will also talk to you about how to submit your portfolio, and answer any questions you have about making a strong portfolio submission for your programme of study.

Join Programme Leader, Steve Rigley, for a talk about studying Communication Design at the Glasgow School of Art. You will hear more about the course and studying here and have the chance to ask any questions you have.

Hear from our Head of School and staff about how we support students across Painting and Printmaking, Sculpture and Environmental Art and Fine Art Photography to develop and realise their potential and innovate their practices by focusing on research-led teaching and responsiveness to real-world issues and urgencies.
