Page 1

WELCOME

We’re well into the new year now, and we’re excited to share our Spring/Summer season brochure with you.

This issue covers some unmissable shows taking place between April and July 2026, and we believe these months offer something for everyone. It’s a great opportunity to gather friends, family and loved ones for a memorable night (or afternoon) out.

We’re thrilled to welcome some world-renowned musical icons, including Van Morrison, our friend Midge Ure, Alfie Boe, Suzi Quatro and Beverley Knight. They’ll be sure to put on brilliantly entertaining shows, full of your favourite hits to sing along to.

Some audience favourites make a return this year, including high energy Rhythm of the Dance, brit-funk band Haircut 100, Strictly’s Nikita Kuzmin, not forgetting sell-out Austentatious.

We’ve also got some fresh new acts and productions making their Bath debut, including cricketing legends Aggers & Tuffers, The Dinosaur That Pooped and exciting new Viking theatre show Mythos: Ragnarök.

We really look forward to welcoming you to The Forum, whether you’re returning or visiting us for the first time.

Best wishes,

Concert Performance

from the biggest selling violinist in the world

“One of the most important violinists Britain has ever produced.”
THE GUARDIAN

Virtuoso violinist Nigel Kennedy returns for his first – and biggest - UK tour in over ten years. The world’s best-selling violinist will be celebrating his 70th birthday in 2026 and is as fresh and entertaining as ever.

This will be a unique evening of classical, jazz, and contemporary repertoire from the UK’s greatest living violinist. Expect breath-taking Bach, alongside the most delicate rendition you will ever hear of ‘A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square.’

Nigel’s own compositions will feature, including a moving tribute to Yehudi Menuhin and Stephane Grappelli, who taught, mentored and inspired him during his early years. Nigel will also perform on the piano, which may surprise some but will delight all, as his virtuosic talent knows no bounds. Accompanied by his great friends Alec Dankworth (son of the late John Dankwork and Clio Laine) on double bass; and Peter Adams on ‘cello, this is a rare opportunity to witness one of the greatest virtuoso musicians this country has ever produced.

Kennedy’s talent showed itself early and he won a scholarship to the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music aged just 7. At 13, Kennedy was introduced to the jazz violin legend Stephane Grappelli, sparking a lifelong interest in the genre. The pair became great friends, touring theaters, folk clubs, and at the famous Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in London, where Kennedy performed for the first time.

Kennedy’s 1989 hit recording of Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons’ made him an international star and transformed the classical music scene for the better: there are no stuffed shirts at a Nigel Kennedy gig. Nigel’s inclusive and open-minded approach to all styles of music continues to this day and has won him fans all over the world.

Nigel combines a unique mix of repertoire with energy, dynamics and mind-blowing technical and emotional musicality, which will leave audiences spellbound.
