March’s issue highlights the importance of National Surveyors Week (March 15–21), emphasizing both the rich history of the profession and the ongoing responsibility to promote it. In his message, President Robert Johnson encourages members to actively engage in outreach and participating in municipal proclamations to increase public awareness and inspire the next generation of surveyors.
In addition, Past President Rick Pryce has provided an article about the announcement of a new historical monument award designed to recognize members who locate and document significant historical survey monuments. This initiative celebrates the profession’s heritage while encouraging preservation and documentation of important boundary evidence before it is lost to time or development.
