THE GLOBAL DIPLOMACY INSTITUTE

The Fletcher Global Diplomacy Institute is a 5-day, in-person Executive Education Program for mid-career and senior diplomats. It is a strategic retreat to recalibrate your diplomatic playbook for a rapidly changing world order.
We examine the evolving geopolitical landscape and its impact on security, global governance, and how diplomats work with business and civil society to shape global affairs. We help you build tools and approaches to be effective in your strategic leadership, negotiation, communication, and crisis management. Participants develop actionable solutions for their individual portfolio of priorities.
Open to diplomatic professionals from across the globe, the Institute also provides a unique opportunity to build your transnational network and to discover new opportunities for cooperation.

THE TAVITIAN SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Established in 1999 in cooperation with the Tavitian Foundation, this semester-long intensive training program brings together a cohort of 16 mid-career professionals from Armenia’s public sector to study at The Fletcher School.
The funded program offers an interdisciplinary set of courses that draw on the school’s distinguished faculty and respond to current issues facing Armenia and the world. Scholars engage in coursework in policy, negotiation, security, diplomacy, international law, and more.
As part of the program, Scholars also have ample opportunities to interact with the Fletcher and greater Boston communities and experience professional development trips to New York City and Washington, D.C.

Develop the program concept and agreement
We will coordinate with your organization to determine key program parameters, including the event length, modality and location, broad scope of curriculum, production timeline, pricing and finances, delivery date range, and cohort size.
All programs are subject to a contract agreement approved by Tufts Office of University Counsel. Fletcher is happy to provide any required resources that you may require to complete internal approval processes at your institution.
Design and deliver a fantastic program
After program approval and confirmation, our design team and selected faculty will work with your offices to develop a bespoke educational experience for your selected group of participants. We typically reserve 2-3 months for program design, and we kindly request a minimum of 3 months for program production prior to program launch to allow us to provide the best possible experience for your group.
