On behalf of our families and consignors, welcome to the 5th Annual Cowboy Classic Performance & Production Horse Sale! We are honored that you have chosen to spend your weekend with us in Martin, South Dakota, whether you are joining us in person or bidding online. What started as an idea to showcase quality ranch and performance horses has continued to grow because of the support of our buyers, consignors, sponsors, and friends. This year’s sale features an outstanding offering of horses that represent generations of proven breeding, practical ranch experience, and performance potential. From weanlings with elite bloodlines to seasoned ranch and arena horses, each consignment has been selected with the goal of offering horses that are honest, athletic, and built to excel. The Cowboy Classic weekend offers something for everyone. We are excited to kick things off on August 7 with the Youth and Open Breakaway Roping, followed by the Open Team Roping. On August 8, we invite you to attend the Horse Sale Preview at the Bennett County Fairgrounds before joining us at Martin Livestock for the horse sale. For those unable to attend in person, online bidding will once again be available through CattleUSA.com, allowing buyers from across the country to participate. 2009 Sorrel Brood Mare – Gentle, easy-to-handle mare with proven production. We purchased her through the 2024 Martin Select Sale, where she sold with a colt at her side and was confirmed bred. She is friendly to be around, broke to lead, and is easy to work with. She foaled a healthy colt on June 4, 2025. She did not breed back after that and ran open. Since June 1st 2026 she has been exposed to CHICKS HOPE STICK for the past 60 days.This mare has proven herself as a dependable broodmare and would make a nice addition to any breeding program. She is sound in her role as a broodmare, has a quiet disposition, and is easy to manage.
