...together we’re "Crafting Change" for children in our community, empowering parents to break generational patterns and create safer, more supportive environments where children flourish!

Partnering with local artisans & celebrating our honorees we come together for a fun & meaningful event that includes shopping (a portion of sales benefits Raising Resilience, TN), lunch, plus recognition of those who are crafting change for children across our communities
Every child deserves a nurturing, safe space to learn and grow. At Raising Resilience Tennessee, we know the importance of having the knowledge, skills, and resources that make that possible. We also know children don’t come with manuals, and parents need support. We’ve been at the forefront of recognizing how POSITIVE & ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES/COMMUNITY
ENVIRONMENTS (PACEs) impact every aspect of life. Research demonstrates the intergenerational impact that trauma has on anyone who’s been exposed to ACEs… abuse, neglect, death of a parent, poverty, prolonged hunger, racism/discrimination, bullying, fear for safety, and even divorce. ACEs are embedded in our DNA and affect future generations as well. While this can be disillusioning, there’s HOPE! Resilience is the key, and we’re the door to resilience for children and the organizations that support them.
Raising Resilience Tennessee is a leader in helping parents provide a more nurturing environment that increases their children’s resilience. Our programs are open to all families yet focus on the most vulnerable, working with parents through jails, substance recovery facilities, Davidson County Juvenile Court, and those referred through the Department of Children’s Services (DCS). We also provide community groups and 1:1 family coaching in homes or safe spaces. Our Organizational Resilience work involves helping courts, jails, nonprofits, health departments, school systems, etc. identify needs and create trauma-informed awareness and resources for staff and clients.
Your support means that you’re committed to being a “change agent for children!"

Realizing the trust our families place in us, the courage it takes to do the work, plus dedication to raising resilient children, we’re recognizing a parent/caregiver or family who has overcome barriers to provide their child/ren opportunities to thrive.
Megan McCarthy

…a single mom of two special needs children (4yo Layla & 3yo Nash), she tries hard to ensure her children have everything they need so their lives can be the best possible in spite of the challenges they face. Having experienced her own ACEs, Megan is determined to reduce her kids’ exposure. She first came to us after researching options online. Her daughter was testing all the limits (she’s since been diagnosed on the spectrum & starts ABA therapy soon); Megan was at her wits end yet knew she needed to learn more about meeting her daughter’s needs. She also knew this would benefit Nash who was born premature & developed complications resulting in hydrocephalus, deafness, & cerebral palsy. After participating in our Positive Parenting…Plus! sessions (2024) we found out she needed surgery so connected her with our Community Connections program. Through this program we helped identify & supported caregivers for both the surgery & her recovery, which took months. She’s continually expressed gratitude to RRTN for helping her learn & grow so her kids can benefit. It takes a village to raise children; we’re honored to be part of Megan, Layla, & Nash’s village!
