was w as the night before Christmas And A nd up at the North Pole The T he stress of the packing and planning Was W a taking its toll.
So when the bags were all packed And Santa took to the sky The whole elf community Heaved a great sigh But oh no, in the rush To be out the door Santa had left a sack of presents 2Q WKH ZUDSSLQJ URRP ćRRU While everyone else Had left for their beds Three elves were left to ponder, Their names: Pinky, Lou, and Ted With Santa on his way And his schedule so tight The elves knew it was up to them To deliver the bag of gifts that night. So they grabbed the presents And they went to the stable; They hooked up a sled To a lovely reindeer named Mable.

Then checking the address To m make sure things were right They took off toward Worthington, And disappeared into the night.
The roads, they grew icy It became hard to see Ted tried to glimpse signs As to where they might be.
Well Mable and the elves They made good time in their sleigh But as they grew close to the town A storm blocked their way.
“Watch out!” Pinky cried, As the sled started to shift But Lou couldn’t hear And they crashed into a snow ow drift.

The sleigh and gifts were buried But the elves were alright. Poor Mable was covered in snow though And it was a very cold night. “What should we do?” Cried a desperate Ted When from the thick winter snow Came a light, up ahead.
Lou the elf called “We’ve gotten ourselves stuck!” So the crew unloaded their digger Off the back of their truck.
A voice split the night, “Are you folks, alright?” And Henning Construction’s crew Emerged from the light.
As the sled was dug out The elves explained their plight. “Why, you’re only a mile off,” said a workman “We can get you there tonight!”

No sooner had the last Stocking been stuffed; Than Santa arrived In a bewildered huff.
With their awesome new sleigh The elves and Mable took to the street. They delivered the gifts And soon their task was complete.
Once more that night The elves’ story was told. Santa was grateful and impressed The elves’ action had been bold.
