President/CEO September marks our “2nd start of the year”…..that’s when we begin working with our K-12 districts. We could not do this work without dedicated business and education partners. Thank you all for allowing us to expand the countless opportunities for our next generation. This September marks a new milestone as we recruit members to deliver valuable “skills-based” discussions with Middletown High students. We have two opportunities. • Middie U. – speaking with 9th graders about “essential skills” • Partnership Pipeline – speaking with 10-12th graders in their elective classes that align with the 6 Career Fields that our membership represents. October will mark our 13th year of celebrating Manufacturing Month. We will reach out to our manufacturing members to open their doors to expose students and teaches to the array of career opportunities that each of our manufacturing members offer. This November will mark our 8th year of celebrating Healthcare Month. I will be reaching out to the healthcare institutions to arrange for in-person tours as well. We look forward to discussing employment opportunities with our young adults.

Our Foundation
For more than 50 years, our chamber of commerce has had a 501c3 charitable foundation to help with past objectives. The foundation was created in the early 1970’s and there are conflicting stories on why and what project was their focus. Nonetheless, the Middletown Area Chamber Foundation is now doing business as The Chamber Partnership for a Brighter Future. Our focus will be on raising dollars to fund our Future Ready Workforce initiatives. CareerCoach/Skills2Careers The Workforce Institute Passport To Tomorrow Signing Day You will be seeing more information as we move into 2026. Please consider becoming a “funder” of our objectives and be part of the solution of better preparing the next generation for the workforce !!
