somewhere on my desk Rick Pearce President/CEO As we move into 2025, we said goodbye to our current Board Chair Rhonda Seidenschmidt who attended her last meeting in December. Rhonda (Premier Health) completed her 1st term and has taken a system-wide position with Premier Health. We will miss her leadership and wish her the best in the years to come, thank you Rhonda. I would like to thank all past board members for their time, talent, energy and commitment to The Chamber. Thank you for getting us to where we are today!
Shannon Bannerman (Riley’s Furniture) is our Board Chair for 2025, replacing Rhonda. I look forward to working with Shannon and what we can accomplish this year.
I want to thank all our members for their 2024 membership; your time, talent and treasure is greatly appreciated. Your support allows us to continue our mission and we appreciate you having faith in us to serve you in the high standards that you expect of a chamber. Our members are the glue that holds this organization and our communities together.

New Office A HUGE Thank You
The Marshall High School carpentry students, along with their instructor, Tim Wilmot, took on the project of remodeling our new office. They removed the countertops and cabinets from the reception area and removed the workstations and carpet from the lower-level, installed opaque glass and double doors to allow for a usable conference room. We thank the Marshall administrators (Jerry Farley and Chuck Hall), along with Tim and the carpentry students, for their commitment and skills for this project. More photos at this link

Passport to tomorrow Passport to Tomorrow teachers from our elementary schools and social studies teachers from Middletown Middle School spent their professional development day on November 5 exploring career pathways in healthcare at Atrium Medical Center as part of The Workforce Institute. They toured the facility, learned about in-demand entry-level roles, and gained insights into career development opportunities. From Patient Care Technicians to Hospital Police and Dispatch Operators, our educators heard directly from the professionals making a difference in healthcare every day. This firsthand experience helps our teachers bring real-world career knowledge back to the classroom, inspiring our students to explore all the possibilities for their future!

6th Grade will participate in collaborative projects based on their chosen career fields with guidance from their teachers and volunteers from Junior Achievement.

7-8th Grades will continue their exploration of career clusters and the 4Es (Employment, Enrollment, Enlistment, and Entrepreneurship) through research projects and hands-on activities.

The chairs in our old building were purchased 25 years ago and they had their fair share of wear and tear, so we decided to leave them behind.
