Parliament Approves Assisted Dying Legislation With Majority of 23

Members of Parliament have passed groundbreaking legislation that would permit assisted dying for terminally ill adults in England and Wales. The Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill secured parliamentary approval with 314 MPs voting in favour and 291 opposing, resulting in a decisive 23-vote majority during its third reading in the House of Commons. Labour MP Kim Leadbeater, who championed the proposed legislation, showed visible emotion in the parliamentary chamber as the historic vote con-
