Government Renews Funding to Support Overseas Care Workers In a significant move to safeguard overseas workers and uphold ethical recruitment standards in adult social care, the government has announced a £12.5 million injection into its International Recruitment Regional Fund for 2025– 2026. The initiative aims to crack down on unethical recruitment practices, ensure
legitimate employment, and better support care providers across the UK struggling to maintain a stable workforce. The new funding, revealed by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), will be directed towards regional partnerships already established across England.
