BEST DANCE CREW 2016 Whatever it takes to get the job done Part 2: Juanita Staton has battled health issues over the past few years, but she still performs her job with vigor and a smile. by lydia johnson lydia.johnson.13@cnu.edu
Junita Staton, a housekeeper in the Trible Library, spent years working jobs at McDonaldâs and Wal-Mart in addition to CNU. The fatigue of that labor coupled with her being in an accident while riding the bus home from work left her drained, but those struggles are not visible in the work she does on campus. This story is the second in a three-part series on Ms. Juanita. We left off on the question of âwhy was she forced to work so many jobs?â âWellâŚâ She paused and glanced toward the ceiling. âI had two children. I had my first child when I was 18. I had my second child when I was 21. And I always wanted to have money ⌠but money is the root of all evil.â juanita continued on page 3
