As a reminder, we ask for your help in upholding Club etiquette so that all Members and guests may enjoy a safe and welcoming environment.
Parents and caregivers are responsible for the conduct, supervision, and safety of their children and any guests with children at all times. Children may not run freely within the Club. We kindly ask that parents and caregivers closely supervise their children and help reinforce respectful behavior in all areas. Our attendants and staff are here to support a positive experience for everyone, and we appreciate your partnership in maintaining these standards.
As stated in our House Rules, all cell phones should be silenced upon entering the Clubhouse. Discreet use for texting or emailing is permitted. Audible phone calls should be taken in the Clubhouse Lobby, Meeting Room, Library, the Fitness Center Lobby, or outside on the balcony or walkway between the Fitness and Wellness Centers. Phone calls and talk-to-text are not permitted on the Terrace or Veranda, in exercise areas, Group Fitness or Pilates Studios. The use of cell phones is strictly prohibited beyond the lobby areas of all Locker Rooms. When using cell phones in permitted areas, devices should be set to silent or vibrate and connected to personal headphones when listening to music, audiobooks, podcasts, or videos.
The use of the Club is a privilege reserved for all Members. Behavior and language must be appropriate at all times. All furniture and equipment is expected to stay where it is intended and is not to be climbed on, turned over, destroyed, or otherwise altered.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in helping us maintain a comfortable and enjoyable space for all Members.

DANIEL A. MORENO
GENERAL MANAGER / COO daniel moreno@thebriarclub com

As we reflect on the past quarter, our recent Board retreat reinforced something we already know to be true Our Club is truly unique Within just 5 5 acres, there is an incredible level of activity and connection happening every day, often matching or even exceeding the revenue and usage of clubs with far more space This distinction is important because, at its core, our success is not measured solely by revenue, but by Member usage Every touchpoint, every visit, and every shared experience is how we evaluate and balance our operations.
Financially, we are in a strong position As we approach the midpoint of our fiscal year, I am pleased to report that we are exceeding our budgeted expectations This momentum is a direct reflection of your engagement and the team’s commitment to delivering exceptional experiences Another point of pride is our Food & Beverage program, which continues to operate profitably This is no small achievement in the club industry, and it plays an important role in helping offset subsidies across the Club, ultimately contributing to keeping dues as manageable as possible for our Membership.
I am also proud to announce the promotion of Skyler Gentry to Assistant General Manager Over the past eight years, Skyler has demonstrated dedication, growth, and a deep commitment to the Club His journey is a testament to the opportunities within our organization and the strength of our team culture Please join me in congratulating him on this well-deserved achievement
With summer just around the corner, pool season is upon us. We are excited to share that full table service will return from May 26 through August 16 Outside of those dates, Members can continue to enjoy the convenience of app ordering, along with counter service at the Barracuda Café We look forward to another vibrant and enjoyable season by the pool
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Astros ticket raffle Thanks to your generosity, we were able to contribute over $2,000 to the Employee Scholarship Fund, supporting the continued growth and success of our dedicated team members. Congrats to Austen Morris on winning these awesome tickets.
I’d like to take a moment to recognize two remarkable milestones Oscar Lazcano in the Fitness Center is celebrating his 18 anniversary with the Club Oscar truly embodies what makes our community so special His positivity, sense of humor, and genuine care for both our Members and his teammates Thank you, Oscar, for your outstanding dedication and for being such an important part of our Club We also celebrate Jon Diller, our Aquatics Director, on his 18 anniversary Jon’s steady, positive, and composed leadership sets him apart and has made him one of the top aquatics directors in the state. th
th
For our tennis players, we will soon be installing a low, removable fence adjacent to Court 1 This addition is designed to help keep children safely off the courts during active play, while still allowing flexibility for Club events when needed As always, my door remains open I welcome your feedback, ideas, and conversations about Club operations at any time It is a privilege to serve this Membership, and I look forward to continuing to build on our shared success together
PRESIDENT

CHRIS DAHAN
2026 PRESIDENT BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Happy spring! This is a favorite time of year for our family and we know for many others as well – the reopening of the Family Resort Pool and start of swim season, a multitude of fun outdoor events (both traditional and new) across a wide range of activities, and new seasonal menus carefully curated by Chef Michael and his team
With the new season and a return of many to Campus with more regularity, we kindly ask that Members be patient with staff as operations gear back up, maintain close supervision on younger family members (especially near pools, racquet sports and dining!), adhere to the Club’s guest policies and show respect to other Members and pride for our Club by cleaning up after ourselves when possible – these are things our Membership already does better than most, but spring time is always a good moment to be more intentional and double down on efforts. If you see something out of place, as always, please don’t hesitate to bring it to a Briar Club team member’s attention.
We’re six months into the Club’s fiscal year, and I’m pleased to report we remain on very solid financial footing, both from an operational perspective, as well as with new member initiations and continued interest in Club membership In all areas, the Club remains ahead of what was budgeted at the start of the year
The quarter ahead will be busy and there will be a number of exciting updates Thank you to the Members who took time to fill out the separate surveys on the Campus Plan and Fitness Locker Room Refresh – we appreciate, and indeed will rely on, that constructive feedback We look forward to providing more details soon on the latest progress and path forward for both initiatives, with the continued focus on leveraging and caring for our existing facilities, while opportunistically (and efficiently) improving and expanding other areas to enhance the Member experience at the Club.
On the topic of expanded amenities, The Retreat spa continues to be a resounding success and if you haven’t had an opportunity to meet the team or schedule a treatment (which can be done via the Club App!), we encourage you to explore their offerings
I’d like to close by thanking and commending Daniel Moreno and the entire Briar Club staff (some 300 strong for the peak summer season!) for helping to prepare us for another fun and busy year outside As I’m sure many of you have noticed, Daniel and his team continue to implement thoughtful, incremental changes around the Club with meaningful impact
A couple shout-outs in particular: first, to Linda Benson, for her leadership on reimagining our new Membership application process, which has been superlative thus far; and second, to Cathy Staerker, who was named the 2026 Fitness & Recreational Professional of the Year by the Texas Lone Star Chapter (TLSC) of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) This is an outstanding honor and speaks to the quality of Cathy’s leadership, as well as the strength (pun intended) of our entire health and fitness team We’re delighted to celebrate this recognition, and I hope you will congratulate Cathy and her team, as well as thank all of our Department Heads for their great work when you see them on Campus Cheers!
Sincerely,
CHRIS DAHAN

This recipe is a Club classic first introduced in 1949
Ravioli Filling:
¼ lb Beef
¼ lb Pork
½ Cup Dry Breadcrumbs
¾ tsp Sweet Basil
1 Clove of Garlic or 1 pinch of Garlic Powder
¼ –½ cup finely chopped Onion
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Black Pepper
2 Tbsp Parsley
2 Tbsp Celery Leaves
¼ Cup Fresh Spinach
1 Egg
3 Tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese
1 oz Blue Cheese Dough:
2 ½ Cups Flour
1 Egg
¼ tsp Salt
¼ - ½ Cup Warm Water
Make filling before you make dough. Everything must be very finely ground.
1 Simmer the meats in oil.
2 Run all vegetables through a food processor
3 Simmer onions, garlic, parsley, celery, and spinach This is a slow process. Combine meat and vegetables.
4 Add cheeses, breadcrumbs, and egg while still hot. Mix well. Mixture should be kept warm while making the ravioli dough. Put in large container in preheated 300 degree oven. Turn off oven and leave mixture inside.
Make the dough
1.ln a large vessel, mix flour, egg, and add warm water gradually.
2.Work the dough really hard for 20 min. Leave in a loaf form and let it sit for 20-30 minutes covered.
3 Work again for 20-30 min. If dough separates while working, add a very little bit of water on the separated part with wet fingers Fold in and mash together When dough is ready it will have a satin sheen and be pliable
4.On floured surface, roll out with long stick. When rolled out you should be able to see through it. Put warm filling on ½ of rolled sheet.
5 Fold dry side over filling. Top sheet may be stretched by lifting and waving the dough as you pull.
6 Roll the imprinting roller over, pressing down very hard Cut the raviolis with a fluted pastry cutter Place flat on a single layer on floured baking sheets and cover with wax paper. Repeat process up to 3 or 4 layers.
7 Then cook them in salted boiling water until they rise to the surface.
Before we became The Briar Club, we were The Coral Club, and we are pleased to honor our roots.
